India has unfortunately agreed to be a party of 10 countries which will together act as a guarantor between Taliban and USA.
Its a mess over there and we need to pick right tribes, even if Taliban is allowed in power. And Taliban isn't united. Most of them will be basically mercenaries for hiring. We just need to outbid the pakistanis.
I'm telling you PM IK had an excellent plan to defeat the Amricans and the Ganguz in Afghanistan. Then that Motabhai removed 370 without asking IK, how dare he ? Yeh toh cheating hain.
On a serous note, the cardinal rule of playing one side against the other and extracting maximum benifits is that you have to ensure that the two sides don't collude with each other. It doesn't work otherwise. The two sides being US and India.

People thinking we have US on board doesn't feel like that. If anything it was a royal F*U to US putting all their diplomatic hard work on Afghanistan front at really risky position.
Those who are aware of US desperation for surrender in Afghanistan can relate how much this would have pissed US but since they didn't include India in Afghanistan peace process they know they can't do much. Also it can be used to pressure Pakistan and get some concessions but at risk of alienating India even more.
