US - Israel - Iran War

So how many times has the US won the war? I'm losing count

Edit: It's ok, I asked google
"Social media trackers and media reviews show that President Donald Trump has made over 100 separate declarations that the U.S. has defeated Iran, alongside dozens of statements claiming the country has been destroyed, totaling roughly 201 individual pronouncements of winning or ending the conflict.;

What Iran is doing is like refusing to let go of the soap in the prison shower. They think that so long as they keep hold of the soap on the shower floor that they are winning.

the gulf state US bases have been abandoned and the closest base is now 1,500k from Tehran
the useable USN port is now Diego Garcia some 4,000k from Iran

So the US has run out of missiles to use, New plan is sanctions, something Iran has had for 50 years, The don't care if they live on cuscus and dates

What was diesel in Jan and now per gal? Which is being artificially kept low
ans: $3.52 per gallon in January 2026. Currently, the national average has risen to about $5.45 per gallon a 54.83% increase.
Wait until the reserves are gone, you should have bought diesel as an investment, there is a world recession coming

Source?

Oil is $86/bbl.

New plan is blockade, oh and carriers are air bases too remember. Idiots have been promising this oil shortage for ages now, where is it? Any queues like in Russia? :ROFLMAO:

If Iran was really going to cause that much trouble it would be invaded, not doing so is the only thing keeping it uninvaded.

What part of the US can't invade don't you understand? Even Trump can understand it, It will blow up the oil fields in the ME for years
He TACO'ed and came up with sanctions BS, Which won't do that much, China and Russia and others are supporting Iran with BRICS

You may have heard they are withdrawing the Lincoln, got no food, The ME bases were destroyed

Didn't we do brent and actual gate price being different?

The oil shock has already hit, look at the petrol prices, and will really hit, when the remaining 40 million barrels are drawn down to the minimum allowed, in about 8 weeks at the reduced current rate

The U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) is being drawn down, the most recent weekly official data showing a total drawdown of 5.3 million barrels

As of August 2026, the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) holds 293.43 million barrels of crude oil.

The statutory minimum requirement for the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) is 252.4 million barrels
under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, while internationally, the International Energy Agency mandates member countries hold emergency reserves equivalent to 90 days of net oil imports.

  • The Storage Deficit: The current stockpile represents less than half of the SPR's maximum authorized capacity of 714 million barrels. [1, 2]

If they affect the global economy it won't just be the US. I mean you seriously think the world will just sit there while some dumb goat-felchers in the Middle East mess with their economies? If Iran is affecting the global economy badly then that's effectively the same as the fields getting blown up anyway, and it wouldn't just be the West affected if they did, that's what you're failing to grasp here. Think about it, if they can't get oil anyway, then what does it matter if the fields get blown up as well?

Oil fields blown up for years? BS! Ukraine hits the same refineries in Russia several times per year, it's months at worst not years and as soon as Iran does that, everything in Iran gets destroyed and eventually the guys who ordered it get hung by their own people same as Saddam. Iran's main advantage is that nobody has been affected much by their tantrum and therefore nobody can be bothered to do anything about them. If that changes they are f*cked!

Another carrier will replace it and the blockade will remain in place.

It's £1.60/l in the UK, that's not critical, and most of that is made up of taxes anyway, so there's scope to cope.

You've been saying that for 12 weeks already.

You see this:

This is a crisis. Iran's crap is not a crisis.

Yo Pops ! While all that you've put out is well taken , the Mullah Regime in Iran is living on borrowed time.

You don't launch the kind of campaign you did for a month & a half like what the US did & then back away leaving the regime intact especially if the principal aim of the campaign was to overthrow them.

You do that & you're left with a wounded tiger on the loose. And in our parts nothing is more dangerous than a wounded tiger . It can't hunt it's usual prey for they're too quick for him resulting in the tiger starving. End outcome - it turns into a man eater.

That's what an Iran will become if the US withdraws . The Gulf Sheikhdoms know it , Israel knows it , China & Russia knows it , the US knows it , the entire world knows it. You're the only person who's pretending not to know it.

Hence the GCC countries are geared up for whatever problems they're due to face if it means being rid of the Mullahs in Iran once & for all.

Since this has now turned into a war of attrition much like the war in Ukraine & Iran doesn't enjoy the kind of backers Ukraine does plus its own population isn't well disposed to the regime this isn't going to take 4 years + like the situation in Ukraine.

What you're going to see are prolonged talks , talks about talks , Trump running his motor mouth making outrageous claims & the tenuous peace holds till another round of action breaks out for a few days wherein the US further takes down Iranian infrastructure making it that much more difficult to provide basic infrastructure to their people further exacerbating problems for the general population making their lives not just miserable but making their existence precarious. Rinse & repeat.

The idea here is to goad the people into launching an insurrection. Till such time they don't you'd see the above cycle repeated . Don't forget Iran is neither food nor fertilizer / pesticide independent . What that means is they're import dependent for this stuff . Hence they can't fool around much in the Straits of Hormuz else those shipments get detained.

Apart from this critical dependency they're also dependent on the Straits to export O&NG if they've to rebuild infrastructure & their economy . Which is to say there are limits to how much they can misbehave in the Straits .
