Footage shows the Ukrainian army using a BTR-60—packed with explosives—as a heavy wheeled kamikaze drone. The vehicle was employed in an attempt to breach Russian army defenses near the settlement of Novoye, in the Lyman sector. While this is being touted as a Ukrainian innovation, the Russian army has been using explosive-laden vehicles for several years. The BTR-60 entered service with the USSR in 1959.

These air defense units are equipped with 23mm ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns, 12.7mm DShK machine guns, twin 7.62mm PKM and PKT machine guns, optical sights, and night-vision devices.
Russian Geran-2 drones have begun striking Ukrainian high-voltage power transmission towers. Reportedly, the drones are equipped with a warhead containing shaped-charge cutting elements designed to destroy the power lines. As a result of the strikes, power outages have begun in Kyiv.
