First of all, yes, content which can hurt other’s religious sentiments are discouraged.
But if you think there’s a topic which needs to be debated then you can go head and post it, and also tag the mods to your thread.

I'd rather the mods go through the contents before locking a thread . I , personally , didn't see any controversial or Islamophobic matter in it . If anything there are certain caste groups among Hindus who may find the contents disconcerting / controversial if not offensive .
However , all the contents are sourced with proper references from matter acknowledged to be authentic by acclaimed and well respected authors in their domain.
I'd leave you to be the judge on the authenticity of my claims .

The title did sound offensive.
I would suggest you that when in doubt regarding the content of the article, feel free to post a the link to the article in a PM to one of the mods. That way you would have got approval to posting sensitive stuff, and also will help the mod folks to keep a vigil on the thread.

I caught @Picdelamirand-oil making overly optimistic statements about the Euro and reported it. @BMD has also indicated the same as notable.
Report any post which you believe has violated forum rules..... And leave it to the moderators to take the call...... I Can assure you, Most of our team members are seasoned moderators and have been doing that for some time.....
Thread has been reopened for discussion, under our watchful eyes..... Let us hope it remains on topic..... If not will close it and delete it next time...
Shouldn't moderation extend to deleting off topic comments instead of the entire thread . After all , the contents were published more than a year ago on a public blog . All 6 parts of it . Nobody complained about it there , then or since . Just thinking out aloud.

Its your forum not ours we are just trying to provide the best possible platform. We are just starting out , not everybody is mature enough to discuss such topics thats why extra cautious. hope you understand.
Lets end this thread here and discuss the topic , it has immense potential if discussed academically.
I think instead of locking this thread complaints , let it be open .Anyone having a complaint of a similar nature can access it .
W.r.t the thread in question , nobody reads such long posts . I had thought of posting all 6 parts out here on the same thread but decided to start out with part 1 - as a teaser to check response . Alas ! We've yet to see a single post out there .
Hence your fears about this generating a heated response is quite unfounded . This thread is going to die a quiet and quick death.
P.S - If I were part of the management team , I wouldn't be so hasty to call it a think tank . At least not in its very first week . The complaint thread has attracted more posts than the thread itself .
