Recent rumblings by Juncker suggest Europe is planning to leave Ukraine alone. Yet another loss of face for NATO and EU. Eventual Russian influence will take control over Ukraine.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker’s opinion that Ukraine is neither part of the European Union, nor part of NATO reflects the West’s growing annoyance regarding false statements made by the Ukrainian leader, political analyst Oleg Bondarenko told Sputnik.
Juncker had no other choice than to try to bring him to his senses by telling him the hard truth, because “Europeans are not used to telling lies,” Bondarenko said.
“A few days ago I saw that my friend Poroshenko said that Ukraine is the European Union, and it is NATO. At the moment, it’s neither one nor the other, and I think we do need to bear this in mind,” Juncker said at a conference of EU ambassadors in Brussels on Tuesday.
He added that because Ukraine is the only country in Europe that has a war going on in its territory, “it is not 'European' in the sense of the European Union.”
In an interview with Sputnik, Oleg Bondarenko said that Petro Poroshenko was engaged in wishful thinking.
“All Poroshenko is doing is lying to everyone, both in and out of Ukraine, about reforms and fighting corruption. He is also making all sorts of promises to the US and Europe. It looks like the European leaders are already fed up with all these lies and attempts to enmesh the West in his squabbles with Russia,” Bondarenko noted.

Saudi Air Defense Stops Most Houthi Strikes

A record number of ballistic missile and drone attacks have tested Saudi air defense capabilities. They've succeeded admirably but at a high cost.

DUBAI: Saudi Arabia has come under intensive attacks by ballistic missiles and explosive-laden drones for the past few weeks in an apparent attempt by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias in Yemen to force the kingdom to concede to their demands to end the six-year-long Yemeni War. However, robust Saudi air defenses have negated these attacks by intercepting the majority of the incoming projectiles.

“The accomplishments of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces (RSADF) are impressive… The RSADF is now the global leader in (ballistic) missile intercepts,” said David DesRoches, a professor at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies at National Defense University in Washington DC.

DesRoches pointed out that the RSADF “has in effect modernized itself while at war. There is no evidence that any Houthi ballistic missile fired into the interior of Saudi Arabia. This is an amazing achievement.”

In a press briefing in the Saudi capital Riyadh on March 8 the spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab coalition fighting the Houthis in Yemen, Col. Turki al-Malki, said the coalition has destroyed most of the 350 ballistic missiles and 550 explosive-laden drones fired by the Houthis. “No country in the world has been able to confront these drones the way Saudi Arabia has,” he stressed.

Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab coalition to restore the internationally-recognized Yemeni government that was deposed by the Houthi militias that took control of large parts of the country in 2015.

The staggering number of ballistic missiles and drones fired at Saudi Arabia does place it on the top of the list of countries targeted by such weapons.

“Most missiles and drones hit nothing, even if not intercepted. Most drones have tiny payloads that are not designed to causes personnel losses,” said Michael Knights, a Senior Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. “We also let a lot of missiles and rockets go because we can tell them are not hitting anything.”

Is there a video of s400's, not in combat but testing, of it intercepting a BM..? Nope! I wonder why? But there sure is SM-3, SM-6, THAAD and PAC3 intercepting missiles in test and video in actual combat of the PAC3.

The problem that you have is many which is quite obvious but the most obvious problem that you have is you think like a chimp. You pick your butt all day and smell the magic that it makes on your finger instead of doing your research.

Crazy loon !! So easy to wind up !

Exactly the kind who instead of looking & asking before he leaps, leaps first , collapses in a heap & then asks why the hell did I leap ?

Didn't you read what I wrote or didn't you comprehend it ? Or did you think "gotcha" after snorting baby milk powder , got high & posted ?

Here , I've color coded , highlighted & underlined with quotation marks & increased the font size to twice the original for easy understanding. This tool is used to teach autistic kids . I'm sure you're familiar with it .

Damn, sweetie!! This sure is swell news. Poland getting those missile systems that Saudi Arabia got "which stopped all those 1980 & 90s Chinese & North Korean tech Cruise Missiles" fired from Iran as well as drones

"except" those which crashed into those Saudi refineries shutting production down for weeks. Is Poland lucky or is it lucky?

@WHOHE

In theory, the oil facilities both lay under the defensive umbrella of Patriot PAC-2 surface-to-air missile batteries that the U.S. sold to Saudi Arabia to intercept aircraft and missiles up to 100 miles away. However, if Saudi radars detected the 18 triangular drones and seven cruise missiles (judging by recovered debris) that bombarded them last week, they did so too late. Instead, they were forced to fire sporadically with automatic weapons, which didn’t prevent widespread damage that temporarily disrupted shipments of 5.7 million barrels of oil daily — half of Saudi Arabia’s output.

Here's news from the attack on Abu Dhabi by Houthis / Iranian drones & missiles.

& Here's Forbes spinning this into a huge success for American missile defence systems. Apparently so successful was the defence that UAE signed a deal worth 3.5 billion USD with South Korea - the single largest arms deal SoKo has bagged till date , to sell & manufacture their missile defence system which surprise surprise was developed with Russian tech & consultancy based in part on the S 400 systems , along with a deal to co develop future systems ..

That's not all . So impressed were the Emiratis by the performance of the American missile defence system that they immediately dialled up Israel their new friend in the neighborhood with whom they just established diplomatic relations asking them for solutions . Not one to look a gift horse in it's mouth , the Israelis promptly offered them the Rafaels , SPYDER & Barak - 8 / ER systems

Who knows & who cares if there's a video of the S-400 ? Unlike you I'm not a salesman for those systems . You want proof of it , help yourself to Russian forums .

Damn sweetie ! I can't tell what's more disgusting . You your imagination or your habits. This is what comes when you don't bathe regularly or wash your backside like normal hygienic people do & instead use toilet paper or baby wipes like a r s e wipes do . 😂

Here Paddy , have a look . First we had you with a reference to scat in every 2nd or 3rd post post out here & now we have him . He's taking after you . Remember when I told you , he's what you were 30 yrs ago , even I didn't realise I was being prescient . Like you he's also not into females. @BMD

Why S-400 failed to stop a Turkish drone blowing up Russian tanks.

Why Russian EW failed to jam drone that was blowing up their tanks.

Why Su-57 had to fly over North Ukraine at low altitude.

Are the S-400s deployed in Ukraine ? What are they supposed to hunt? IRBMs, SSM, latest state of the art Fighters like the Lightnings, Rafales, Eurofighters etc?

Why Russian EW failed to jam drone that was blowing up their tanks.
Beats me. I thought you'd be quoting Yahoo here to demonstrate why Russian EW systems have been hopeless failures. Why didn't you? Perhaps you may find some article in the Irish Intelligence Review.

They usually come out with rare gems , those lads. WMD in Iraq was their idea too. Too bad only the Paddys believed it & not ze Germans or le Francaise.

Why Su-57 had to fly over North Ukraine at low altitude.
They wanted to be shot down by the MANPADS. Why didn't your MANPADS shoot them down? Were they busy clicking selfies with the Felon in the BG?

You know what your problem is Paddy?
All your life You haven't been able to decide if you should or shouldn't stimulate your behind & having stimulated it , you can't decide if you do or don't enjoy it . This is one dilemma you've faced & haven't been able to resolve for 40 out of 55 yrs of your miserable existence. I don't expect you to do so in the future too. You're too old a dog to learn new tricks & more in keeping with the traditions of your benighted & adopted land too repressed & stiff upper lip about it. Time for you to transition. It's ok to do that now. Even at your age.
