There was a detail analysis by IAF pilot which had some interesting details.... Posted here search few pages back
If you read my post in the Batlle between Mig-21 & F-16, I had clearly mentioned that Mig-21 was positioned by GCIO and not by AWAC. I knew that AWACS got airborne later. Moreover M2K ops location is not Pathankot but further south in Punjab.

BTW, @Levina had posted the map of the Chicken's Neck on twitter and was wondering. Looking at the map, we really don't need to capture the entire dagger to control the dagger. Most likely just a few strategic positions and PA might be forced to retreat entirely. We will know soon enough.

She has been missing from here for long. She is right. The Dagger has a choke point to the west. At this choke point the width is just about 2kms. Look at the redlines drawn in the map below. Just occupying 300m from either side will make this place undefendable forcing PA to vacate the entire area or risk getting its soldiers trapped and either killed or taken POWs.

Can you post the tweet?

Notice there is just a single route passing in between. Any strategic points there to control access of that route, means either PA will starve to death in that pocket or be forced to retreat through that one route. Could be a nice kill zone too.

What @Falcon stated about capturing few posts of GTI and what I stated were same things about Akhnoor. PA does not control this area anymore and it is under our control now. They tried to strike as around this dagger to recapture but failed misrably with over 50 casulties including officers.

If this is true, then Pakistanis are totally screwed right now. Its already a nasty place, As it is surrounded by India from all 3 sides. Every single military asset in that area can be targeted from all 3 sides with mortars, Artillery.

A very insightful post here.

Sir.

For the bold, if I may, the attempt has been towards creating a situation that can be appropriately be exploited for further necessary action. However, the opposition has been tad uncooperative insofar these attempts are concerned.

Perhaps, I daresay, this tendency of theirs to not cooperate in any field is the root of our troubles.

I think digging in only indicates we shift focus to some other lever- like diplomacy or economics

If Falcon said it is not captured yet then it is not, doesn't mean it won't be but so far it's not. Let's wait for his confirmation too. We are reading too much into not so certain sources and exaggerating with every reply.

It feel more and more like other form where they strike Pakistani nuclear storage with Bhramos every few replies.

If that ground is of so much importance it will be very heavily defended and we can't capture it without good number of casualties and so far we haven't seen anything like that. In all possibility we may have made life hell for Pakistanis staying there but unless it's confirmed by Falcon I won't belive it.

These days some people over there are claiming we shot a Pakistani Sat in our ASAT test
I read it for few days and thought they will come to senses and talk rationally but they were so obsessed with Bhramos striking nuclear facility that it became absurd, never read it again no wonder they are finding Pakistani satellite, one of their major moderator is active on Twitter and tweets he likes and engages with looks like some child though he maybe above 50.

This is the only place where sanity strikes after few replies and if not, hellfire rains non stop ;)
