Pakistan's nuke bluff has been called multiple times, viz. Surgical Strike, and more importantly Balakote strike - where our jets crossed in to Pakistan main land and 'dropped payloads' & guess what, no nukes were exchanged. I don't think any one takes their nuke threats seriously any more (Correct me if I am wrong).
Also, our nuclear doctrine says 'No first use', though is flexible, that we can use nukes if we feel like we are going to get hit.
BUT, I really don't think our government will give the go ahead for a nuke strike. Just my opinion.
Regarding the cold start & IBGs, in a Pak only scenario, it's fine, I am not so sure how it would fare in a Pak - China scenario.

Cold Start and IBGs are for Single Front
War , it is a limited War concept


In a Two Front war , there is no restraint
All Pakistan Specific Corps get activated and are going to.strike Simultaneously

It is Throwing everything that you have on Pakistan , the SUNDARJI doctrine

Because China will ask Pakistan to open the second front

So far our Two front war theory was like.this

1.Pakistan makes.a Terror.attack like 26 / 11

2 India responds to Pakistan conventionally

3.China opens another front

But here China is going to.start in Ladakh or Uttarakhand
And Pakistan will join immediately

So both are aggressors
And we can Retaliate as we like

Thats why I said that I am not sure about it's effectiveness in a two-front scenario.

Numbers play a vital role here - How much to commit for Pakistan & how much to keep for China.
I am no expert in this matter, but, common sense tells that, in that scenario, China will get priority and
Pakistan needs to be put out of fight as fast as possible.
Now your assessment is totally different from what @Falcon wrote, which according to him, is we are not capable of concluding a quick & sharp war with Pak in the current state, where as you state we will pulverize them. If your point is that we will nuke Pakistan off the map, I kind of have my doubt in that respect. It kind of boils down to the fact that, we are not in a position to fight a convincing 2 front conventional war.

China will fight a result oriented war with set objectives and they won't listen to any UN mandated cease fire until those objectives are met.
Paxtanis are stupid in terms of goals. Their only objective is to needle India since they also realistically know that taking Kashmir back is not feasible now.

I say this purely on the basis of a speech by Doval wherein he expressed his intent to attack Chinese border cities in case of war to show that the war will not be fought on chinis terms. Since that's where their jugular lies.

This much clarity he had when he wasn't even NSA, so that was nearly 7 years back. If they have still not found a way around to attack the coastal areas after being in power for 6 years, I will be very disappointed.

Oli don't need to learn from anyone, last time his stupidity costed him his PM Chair, he behaved real nice after that. This time too he knows he fkd up and it will end badly for him and Nepal. Afghanistan has more chances of getting out of grip of Pakistan than Nepal has with India.

They can do whatever they want, 10 year down the lane you will find them standing at door for friendship, Geography is a real problem and nothing can overcome it.

I wouldn't call this a back down just yet. If they really want to de-escalate, they will start moving their troops from the LAC.
Until that happens, these words mean nothing.
And India is definitely not backing down. It has been said and declared that we will continue with the constructions & we have mobilised troops to match China at LAC. Lets see if sane minds prevail in China.
 
I guess China has been taken by surprise by rapid deployment of our forces.Thry ordered their slaves to do the same along LoC but it didn't work...de escalation until next opportunity

How amusing it is to see Pakistani cheering for their new daddy every other day. Sometimes for Arabs, for Chinese, for Turkey, for Malaysia. Inferiority complex runs so deep that they even put Nepal above Pakistan if it can somehow hurt India.

In India-China standoff neither is speaking too much, but cheerleaders of non party to dispute right from PM to FM to President, all of them are screaming at top of their lungs.
