Whether PLA's willing or not, Xi certainly is willing to go to war. I think we can expect something in Ladakh this April onwards once the snow melts & summer sets in.
Depends on how India's COVID recovery happens. If China does not feel it can achieve its objective by force it will not risk an embarrassment.
If India's plan works it will put an end to this round. We could at worst see a Galwan 2 with firearms engineered by China to use Shock Value to get India on the table again.
I doubt COVID's gonna play a part. If the Chinese think they can get away with attacking India this summer, then they will.
Their best time to attack was before winter set in, now it's the summer. As time passes, the risk of a war decreases. There is also a very good chance they will create trouble elsewhere along the border.
Their biggest loss was they lost surprise and were in turn surprised by India's reaction, both on the ground during Galwan and the govt's reaction to it post-Galwan in terms of economic measures.
Personally I don't think anything else is gonna happen because they do not want other countries they are bullying following suit and responding using economic measures in retaliation. Both Japan and Korea have already started moving away from China after all.
The only thing CCP has offered to its people is the roller coaster ride of CCP Disney Land. And now the chains are breaking apart.
Even the PLA foot soldiers and the chini aam aadmi are waiting for an opportunity to stab the CCP and the PLA mafia in the back.

It's unlikely for India to do anything to China at this time. China has to be the aggressor for anything to happen and I don't think China's interested in that. Doval himself said India needs decades to match up to China 1 on 1.
China exposed its fangs a decade too soon and it will cost them dearly. This standoff will be known as biggest blunder in "China's rise" history. All that wealth got into Chinese head like the saying goes; True character shows not when you are poor and weak but when you are rich and strong.

Its not what they are which matters , its what we are that matters. The day tibet was occupied we should have been smart enuf to keep chinese at arms length. Instead we ended mollycoddling those thugs and now they are emboldened. First we need to fix our economy and become strong.
Any country for that matter of fact if it sees enemy is weak will obviously take advantage of it. These chinese salami tactics were going on for a long period of time and we did nothing but indulged in stupid talks. CCP thugs will only understand their own language that is a strong military response any thing short of that they will continue their thuggish ways.

On a serious note, China can only exploit the weak, or to say it better, it is "allowed and circumstances are designed" to exploit the weak. And the powers that be are the ones who have created this monster china for a purpose. And Modi's, Doval's, Shah's and Yogi's dream of a prosperous Bharat can never be realized unless the head of the two snakes are crushed.
Just do not go by quantity and quality portrayed by and of the enemy.
If you may recall the discussion between me and @Falcon, we had pretty much stated the same thing that with IBGs becoming operational, we have one extra strike corps for Pakistan which can be put on the Chinese border and I had also very clearly stated that we are short of one Division in the central sector. It seems my views were read/heard in proper places and what we see is exactly my suggestions being implemented.
We already have sufficient manpower on the LAC against China
We need more FIRE POWER.
Yeah, a few months ago I had pointed out that one of the SCs will have to be reassigned. 1 Corps was sitting useless facing Pakistan. I Corps already has a mountain division and the converted 4th Div can be assigned the mountain role as well. Possibly our first real multirole SC.
