We are not fighting any African. We fighting PAF, a highly skilled pilots piloting decently potent aircrafts and PLAAF, a super power.

The only real difference comes during strike missions where the M2000 has a very poor strike load.

Only with such loadouts, we need 3 M2000s + 2 M2000 escorts to carry the loadout of 1 A2G Rafale and 1 A2A Rafale.

From twitter, it's gen 1 mirages, it doesn't have Rdy radar and cannot fire mica.

It's question of whether we are going to upgrade or not.
It ll be expensive if we ask Dassault for it.
In case we do on our own with permission, it ll take time to certify our avionics & armaments.

Most likely these are exclusive for spares.

Flyable ones may spare our mirage 2005 sorties for training.. And provide us with more availability during required days..

Indirectly it ll provide us more available platform for fighting.
 
I bet outgoing Chief would have ordered more Mirages had his power to spend is not limited to 300cr

The Battle must be looked at Comprehensively draw the Right lessons

This is true sir. Mirage is a great airframe. we can upgrade its electronics. Now our own AESA is about to be operational. We have our own BVRs and EWs. Those integrations should make M2K a great platform to deal with *censored* and chinkis.
