IAF Chiefs contradicting each other. He is saying they want 10 sqd of Mk2.
- HAL is yet to reach 8 per year LCA production because of the outsourcing problem.
- LCA mk2 is more of reality as compared to MRFA.
- We haven't seen interest in the LCA mk2 from industry compared to JVs with foreign OEMs for MRFA.
- The industry should focus on around 400 aircraft (LCA mk2 + Htt-40 + MRFA)
- DRDO and industry can realise AMCA in the next decade.

There is no contradiction. Gotta read between the lines.
One is saying how much they will order the first time, ie, 6 squadrons or about 120 aircraft. The other is talking about the total requirement, ie, 10 squadrons or 200 aircraft.

To be fair, Rajnath Singh was never a model.
Both of them gave very different numbers. its inconsistent and contradicting. Yours is another conjecture.
That's the difference between people who analyse and people who read.
Both are top officers. Both are important. Both gave important numbers. Those who know how to read between the lines will get it.
