Without Securing the Air space Russian Army made a premature attack on Kyiv , the Russian Generals have been overconfident
Right Now they are on the out skirts of Kyiv , ie 20 km away ,
And Cannot advance further because of Ukrainian strong defences
Russian Air force and missiles will have to know their Army's position very accurately to avoid

There will be a long drawn Guerilla warfare
It depends on how many civilians the Russians are willing to kill.

They should have focussed on East and South and attacked Kyiv only with missiles and airpower
The Russians are not using enough boots on the ground to completely cripple Ukraine. They are using less troops than the Ukrainian Army. So their objectives are different from what people are expecting. You can say that they are actually fighting a limited war, of the likes India has planned against Pakistan in the form of Cold Start. So this gives room for the defender to fight back.
During the Gulf War, NATO used a million troops and 1500 fighters to fight some 100,000 Iraqi troops, and they still took 5 weeks. So it's not all that simple.

We might now see bmpt terminators and tos if the Ukrainian try to extend this. This will become like Syria in terms of destruction the longer it extends. It's a matter of time Russians start sending their more elite troops and start an air campaign.
Turky & France started blocking Russian vessels. Russia did a mistake by going slow,now international community started acting. They should have finished it as early as possible before a co ordinated action taken by West.

TT2 of Russian military, imagine what will the fate of our large T72 fleets in. An actual war. Gulf war didn't teach us any lesson, still we keep on using it, now this war too.
