Absolutely, it's a brutal symmetrical war with well-defined front lines and relatively open terrain. This isn't like Afghanistan where people hid in caves and occasionally came out to perpetrate a car bombing, or Vietnam, where the enemy hid in tunnels within dense jungle. The Korean War is probably the closest analogue.... with Russia currently playing the part of the North Koreans - early territorial gains quickly converted into a painful a55-whooping, albeit with less airpower.
