RVV-SD and Astra Mk1 are similarly capable. It entered limited production in 2014 and saw service in 2015. But by 2017, when RVV-SD was actually ready to be ordered, Astra was in its final stages of flight testing, which is probably why IAF didn't bother buying the RVV-SD. This missile also marked Russia's first induction of an active radar guided missile.
I don't know if the RVV-SD was bought as an emergency purchase last year or not. You can hope that we did, but it's not really important since Astra will come in before RVV-SD will, even if we did order it.
The more advanced K-77M is equal in capability to Astra Mk2, but that was supposed to enter limited production last year, dunno its current status. It's supposed to equip the PAK FA first, so I think production will be aimed towards fulfilling that objective before the Flankers get it. So there's no chance we ordered this one.

As for the info war, what matters most to us is that Pak stop terrorism in Kashmir and the rest of India, and not winning an info war. So we need American help with what actually matters.

You have HD Video of crash site within few hours, I believe that's too small a time to be tampered with, just show us these four missiles attached to or fallen nearby Mig 21 in that video and your point is proven.
Months later you put few missiles, after a botched up attempt and yet didn't release serial number or anything that can conclusively identify those missiles to be of Abhinandan's jet or just India's. Who are you fooling?
On other hand there are multiple videos, again by bystanders of two different jets in close vicinity getting shot down after dogfight to prove India's claim. So please sell this snake oil to gullible kids on other forums, nobody is buying it here.
ISPR lapdogs tweeting for few bucks is not proof, only shows how shallow is your claim that you need pen for hire to give it credence and somehow make it believable.
On the "other forum" the community surgically dissected that particular video and found all 4 missiles in the footage before ispr...

Saving Mig21 was not IAF's objective last year,not even saving a sukhoi 30mki, not even saving pilot or etc, saving the territory was India 's objective which India succeeded in and which Pakistanis have been failing since their creation.

I remember one of your member tried that trick, couldn't account for 4th one even in that so tried the famous forgery but was busted pretty bad even missiles on display were not matching with missiles on site.

Folks, with all this mayhem for two things we don't have any halfway decent proof:
1. The buildings were actually struck. We have heard that we chucked 5 bombs on them. Three impact points were shown in the jungles. What happened to two more? No one knows. Why the hell indian airforce went with "No civilian casualty" bullshit? I don't know. Why the hell they went for "sharpnel" bombs and not simply blow the shit with a massive over-pressure? I don't know. Why the hell are we not showing the SAR sat images? I don't know. Whats with this "secrecy of capability" bullshit? Our adversaries do know our capabilities. Heck, even acknowledging that we have pictures will give them fair idea about it.
2. We shot a F-16 down. There is a high probability that two planes went down on 27th besides a self goal by IAF. One was our Mig-21. Which one was the other? I don't know. Its likely it was a Pakistani Jet simply because Pakistan could not produce any consistent version of their side of story. Which weapon shot it? Again, we don't know.
Pakistan has been working hard ... a bit too hard... to show that no missile was fired from Mig-21 that day. I find their little dog and pony show of missiles not believable for many reasons. First the width of R-77 and R-73 is identical. When did this happen? There is atleast a 60 mm difference between diameter of R-77-AE and R-73. Latest closeup shots of missiles show IDENTICAL width of debris. How the hell did this happen? Second, where did the Doosara Banda go? Third why did Pakistan only claimed MKI kill after quite sometime? Why were there so many U-turns of narratives? Lastly, how did Pakistan all bombs went dud? I don't buy their "we did not put fuse" bullshit. Why will they bet the lives of so many airmen to just throw some dead weights in Indian territory? Also, if they wanted to send a message, they could have also thrown a live bomb in open field and detonated it. It seems that they just chucked the bombs prematurely to make the planes lighter.
If *censored*-*censored*-Zoo's Art of War makes any sense, its classic "Look Strong when you are Weak" game. Pakistan is weak so it is doing all the propaganda to appear strong.

Apart from the missiles, there is another problem.
All pilots get rid of the fuel drop tanks as soon as they get into an aerial combat. That's the standard procedure as it helps increasing planes maneuver ability.
Abginandan all fuel tanks were intact on impact and have shrapnel holes from when hut by AIM-120C .
That means he was unaware of approaching missile and took no action and was not chasing or avoiding anyone.
In his interview in Pakistan he clearly said "I was looking for targets" .
