One of these days, one of these guys will write "Indian should not under estimate dodos, after all dodos were never colonized" or "India may find finds it hard to fight against dodo birds". True, most bureaucrats never retire, instead they get hired by their own government/orgs or foreign govts/organisations/agencies and lobby groups. It’s how this whole intellectual lobby works in so called Dramocratic countries. They talk and write accordingly.

If we have to buy then buy f15 ,it's combat record will be something to reckon with .

I think it will be a perfect excuse for India to put forward it's point of view about the Chinese threat and seek congressional clearance for f35( despite having s400 ), putting an end for the CAATSA drama and instead of burning money in rafale go for 5th gen f35 .why pay nearly the same for a 4.5++gen plane when you can have a more potent fighter in nearly the same money.

Who knows USA might be helping India behind the scene like doklam

What do you want to do? The last bullet on Indo Chinese borders was fired on 1987. It's been 33 years of peace and 10 years of pushing and shoving. Indian and Chinese patrol as a matter of policy don't even carry weapons.
So who is ready to fire the first bullet and get called as aggressor here? CCP may lie seeing they control media in China but skirmishes are recorded by troops of respective sides. It's hard for both of us. The moment the bullet is fired, Chinese have one more neighbour with weapons at their borders. Their active strength is now less than a million. Do they want that? I do not know. Indians have been planning a two front war for a long time. Whether we will prevail or win is another matter altogether. By firing an bullet you are pushing India into a military and economic alliance with US.

All those years saw the army still working through their requirements or waiting for technology to mature. Now those requirements are being finalised or being delivered, rifles, BPJs, helmets, artillery etc. Infantry modernisation began as of last year and will go into full swing over the next 1-1.5 years.

From this year onwards, modernisation will be carried forward in 5-year plans. IBGs are also being set up, and we will also see the formulation of theatre commands over the next few years.

So stuff that happened over the first Modi term, starting in 2015, creating requirements and a plan of action, is being implemented in the second term.

Once the reorganisation is complete and theatre commands are set up, the budget will get a massive boost and procurement will increase. Of course, this now depends on how the economy will fare over the course of this year. So what was once 2022 could be anywhere between 2023 and 2025, depending on the state of the govt's fiscal budget.
