Indian Political Discussion

They moved there just for that job.

And yes Indian analysts do cover American issues. What world do you live in?

How does someones passport matter on an online discussion? Are our passports even verified before joining?

How are ad hominem attacks suddenly kosher?

I go for a toilet break and come back to a good slapping going on. Guys need to have a coffee break i thinks.......

all hindus vote for congres, so you are calling all hindus 'Dhammi Hindus'? You shouldn't hate hinduism this much.

You are right, all Hindus vote for Congress, that's how BJP swept to a thumping majority in 2014. How could we be so blind Father Tom?

14 pages of debate mainly between 4 guys.

Note:

No jhopadpatti abuses.

No threats of mobs on homes.

No attacks on family womenfolk.

It can be done.

It's Dhimmi . And there's little awareness of a religion - more an awareness of jatis and Varna's else there wouldn't be so many fault lines for semitic religions to prey on ably supported by our own viz - The Lingayat affair. 1000 years of dhimmitude can't be overcome in a century .

You didn't get the point.

It's about NRIs with no skin in the game, who sit in their safety and security, and their countries of adoption committed to the rule of law, who think that by throwing money in the general direction of India, they now have a voice, who encourage the erosion of the safety of Indian citizens whose citizenship has never been in doubt, and who encourage mass action because the will of the people is greater than the rule of law.

It's their carping about those who are opposed to their favourite toadie, their constant questioning of the loyalty of those who, while in India, and while facing the hundred and one ways in which an autocracy-favouring ruling party 'takes care' of dissidence, still point out the illogical and unreal parts of the present administration. They can sit thousands of miles away and say grandly that they represent India, those who are still here, still coping with the fantastic bad administration unleashed on us, do not matter, because opposition to the government automatically makes foreigners of them all, no matter where they are.

Double standards.

All views, can and should be countered on merit. There are many detractors of the Modi govt who live abroad, like Pankaj Mishra. Bringing that up is still not relevant and their views should also be countered on merit alone.

Please be consistent. Ad hominem is ad hominem. There is no good ad hominem and bad ad hominem.

Everything u have accused the poster of, is independent of his residency status, then why bring it up?

Are you trying to sell this thread as some sort of achievement? It was a total shitshow. If you really want to appeal for Mods to take action, you should have them lock your buddy GND up and toss away the key so he stops posting such frivolous threads that devolve into nothing but complete troll fests.

Judaism is the original semitic faith.

Those poor guys came and went. Never did anything to you. One of my physio profs just wrote a book on their time here ....

Please do not use semitic religions so broadly.

Be open if you must. Say Islam and Christianity.

Lol. When BJP created the faultine to score a victory in Karnataka, it is not Dhimmi. When the lingayats and hindus in general decided to smarten up and boot them out for scamming and doing nothing else except exploiting relegion it is 'dhmmi' . B H K T logic.

Everything he said is what most Indians feel.

The sanghis just do not speak up currently because it is not convenient to them.

I wasn't appealing for action.

I was lauding the participants and holding up the exchange as the ability of having a no holds barred debate without going jhopadpatti.

Such is virtually impossible in India on social media and prime time now. If the mods and we can manage the same here, it would be brilliant.

Kudos.

Cheers, Doc

You had been appealing earlier, especially on another thread. So in keeping with your recent appeals for action/moderation; you should demand some strict treatment for GND, who once again today, created a thread on one pretext then lead it in a completely different direction; doing little more than wasting everyone's time.

And really, you call what happened on that thread debate?

I don't think GND did whatever the thread morphed into on his own.

He would not have been able to sustain for 14 pages without the active participation of others.

Namely you, me and anon.

He routinely starts these fires across the forum, and if you're going to back him on this, then I guess don't object when I call him your buddy. Peace.

Yo. It was a meaningful exchange of ideas.

You guys learned about fire temples.

I learned that you guys don't find bawi chicks hot.

I learned you were a PIO (I did not even know your were an NRI earlier ....)

Where was I backing him?

I do find synergy with his views when it comes to the BJP the sangh and sanghis in general. That's about it.

He is as much a friend as any other guy who I have spent time reading, appreciate the person and thoughts behind the posts, and spent time interacting with.

Cheers, Doc
