Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Still wrong.

Do you have any more bullshit to try sell or are you about done now?

Try us. Russia can't even overwhelm Ukraine FFS.

Except to resupply, what about all the MLRS they use? Ukrainian casualties are high, but no higher that Russian casualties, in fact the best evidence suggests slightly less overall.

I'm not. GDP PPP is much the same.

So if your information is accurate, why did you think so much African food came from Russia LOL?

Did do.

You think the US plan everything. Putin caused the democratic takeover in 2014 by bribing Yanukovych to steal the futures of Ukrainian people by joining the EEU, going against his election promises.

You must be kidding, the longer the war goes on, the more Ukrainians will hate Russia and hence insurgency.

Last time Russia killed NATO/EU nationals in Lviv it lost the Moskva.

As a region, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is the world’s largest grain importer. Approximately 30 per cent of global exports of wheat and barley, 20 per cent of corn, and a whopping three-quarters of sunflower oil come from Ukraine and Russia.

I suppose on the whole, food imports looks different when you bring in a lot of stuff that's not staple. But since you've decided there's no food crisis, then so it is.

The Ukrainian casualties are too high.

Didn't do. 'Cause you need to be blind to not see it.

Nope. For an insurgency Russia needs to take "all" of Ukraine. If Russia only takes Russian-dominant regions, there won't be any problems. People in areas that were not conquered will just move on with their lives post the defeat of UAF.

Real battle will start once russia takes total control of donbas and goes after rest of the ukraine. Insurgency works well if the invader is totally alien and has no knowledge or support on the ground. As such we can only say that russia might not get much support from local populace but their knowledge of terrain and local culture cannot be discounted. Russia can very well support mischievous elements in ukraine just like they did in donbas albeit for sabotage & disruption. As such it will not be smooth sailing for ukraine either, russia can keep poking and make ukraine suffer for long.

I am neutral here. But this holier than thou BS is frankly - revolting.

It's how they operate. They find a horse taller than themselves, then they sit on it and deliver sermons. All who don't listen are heathens.

Now the Pope thinks the Russians were provoked. No more good vs evil trope for him as well.

I'm not expecting Russia to take all of Ukraine actually. New Russia could be the limit, at least in this war. What I do see them eventually doing is suck the US and EU into an insurgency in the Baltics and perhaps Moldova. Even the ME. Throw the ball back in the American court.

It's very likely that Putin plans to take back Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan while NATO is made busy elsewhere.

That's peanuts. Deliveries should be done in terms of regiments, not platoons.
They are getting dozens of launchers. You can't compare HiMARS/GMLRS as rocket artillery like Russia and Ukraine has they should be considered more like air support carrying precision SDB's. These are sniper weapons. They don't need to launch a salvo to hit a target. If they find a group of Russian armored vehicles parked close to each other being replenished all it takes is one air bursting 60 feet above them to take them out. Ukraine finds a Russian command post one rocket is all they will need instead of a salvo. If Ukraine locates 12 static targets one 50kms, other 60kms, 70kms, 80kms, 90kms, with 7 other targets 200 meters from these targets Ukraine would need one launcher carrying 12 rockets or two HiMARS.

That's why Ukraine getting these weapons is going to change the battlefield heavily towards Ukraine's favor once deployed. Russian's know this which is why they are crapping their pants.

It really is going to get ugly for Russian forces soon.

* Expansionism.
The world is already bipolar but the other pole is China. Russia is only a regional power but it has weakened itself by spending money on this war, getting sanctioned and losing massive amounts of military assets in the process. Governance of Ukraine at worst would end up the same as before 2014, with a corrupt 'yes-man' in charge, but they likely can't take all of Ukraine, so they will control less land and have lost military assets, money and trade relations.

azerbaijan is a nut case, why would russia want to fight another case of jihadi terrorists on their hands?

It's gonna become a problem if Azerbaijan becomes an enemy instead, the local population can be managed as long as NATO is distracted elsewhere.

Anyway this is a hypothetical scenario where Putin does want to recreate USSR. And with the current lot of sanctions, it's enough of a reason for him to push towards that goal.

That's only a subset of food. Plenty of their grain comes from the EU and US too and the majority of their food imports overall is from US and EU. Grain is not everything.

There is a food crisis because any disruption to supply causes that in areas where food security is low but Russia does not have some kind of monopoly. But they would certainly like to engineer a famine to hold people hostage.

The Russian casualties are equally high or higher and Ukraine has no choice but to fight, Russia doesn't need to however much BS they choose the spin.

Did, you are blind and deluded.

They will move between the two. Russia hasn't taken only the Russian dominant regions.

And it wouldn't matter if they had, they are in Ukraine's country. The insurgency will take place, both in Ukraine and likely in Russia too. If Ukraine were prepared to cede part of their country they'd have already done it. The Russian military has dug a black hole for themselves which will just feed on them endlessly.

'Perhaps', 'somehow'. Somewhat ironic that you are now quoting a man you have criticised and ridiculed in the past. Religion is all made-up anyway, so it's literally about preaching fiction.
Ukraine acquire TOS-1A.
