IAF seems to be getting fed up with the deliveries of MK1A. It seems they were told HAL was going to show 11 MK1A, and now they are nowhere near the deliverables. If HAL had been a private sector, there would have been a war room meeting with the CEO for immediate action to mitigate the issue, but it's HAL; it will be done at its own pace.

He actually said that HAL hasn't shown even one M1A in the airshow against the claim of 11 jets. That's damning to say the least.

So we tried to join a sixth gen program existing with UK, if yeas a realistic move from IAF, as we cannot develop such technology inhouse on time.
@Picdelamirand-oil @randomradio any chance that india can join french program?
Several years ago, I wrote a letter to Macron asking him to modify your AMCA in cooperation with Dassault and HAL, into an NGF demonstrator. You could then use it as AMCA to meet your urgent needs and later move on to the NGF with your own cloud.

Not a reliable source.

Old news, outdated. India backed out last year, with focus on AMCA instead. Both SCAF and GCAP participation were "studied" and they decided they won't be part of the development process for either.

Let's see when these jets are ready.

Wouldn't meet our indigenization goals. The same as jumping to K10 by bypassing K9.

ADE has taken so long to get up to speed because they decided to do every bit of development on their own, regardless of how many mistakes they would make or how many years they would take. And now, they are doing a very good job with the Swift demonstrator. So they are pulling through when it matters.

ADA's goal is the same for LCA Mk2, TEDBF, and AMCA.
