There is a very strong chatter of a MICA hit on PAF aircraft. I was thinking it to be from M2K but now it seems it was a Rafale which did it.

**** had published one article in which it was mentioned that with Astra MK III Gandiv and 2400 TR module AESA radar which can detect stealth from long distance, IAF plans to counter J35.

Avionics is least of the Su 57's problems, it's a shit stealth platform plain and simple.
Compared to what? F-22 or F-35? Maybe, yes. But it's good enough to kick J-20 & J-35's butt until AMCA is ready and that's what matter to us.
Why so confident in the Su-57? It's not operational. Russia in a decade has managed 32 planes(10 testing)
I would bet my life the J-20 and J-35 are better than the Su-57. Money and industry talk.
Let's see the Su-57 perform in Ukraine first pls. Russia desperately needs stealth fighters, yet the Su is doing nothing.

RuAF's performance in Ukraine has nothing to do with IAF. IAF fights differently as you saw how they wrecked Pak in just 3-5 days.
In the end, GOI is extremely p*ssed off at Trump's behaviour. F-35 was most definitely in contention but now all American high-end weapons are out. It's going to be more Rafales and Su-57s, whether you like it or not.

When talking about stealth bringing in MKI shows desperation. It is the biggest fighter in the subcontinent. It does have a role in the mix like F-15EX but nothing to do with stealth.
I seriously doubt the MKI had some miracle performance. I maintain that 4 gen 4.5 gets are maybe better or worse, but no structural differences. Rafale was sent into a horrible ROI engagement. Speaking of @vstol. Do you think Rafale shootdown stuff should still be banned off the forum?

RuAF plane performance has something to do with the IAF. Yes, IAF beat Pakistan in 3-5 days. It's not a giant accomplishment. Pakistan literally doesn't have the stocks or money to fight India beyond skrimishes. Pakistan couldn't protect HQ-9 from 450 Harpys.
India and America's loss then. But, I don't think/hope India will let an acquisition of a platform be affected by the noise. Too much is at stake. I do find it funny how governments are constantly surprised at how dumb Trump is.

Which means don't judge how Su-57 does in RuAF's hands vs IAF's. It's always a man-machine combo.

I'm sure it performed well. Even great. My point is even a jesus 4.5 gen is a 4.5 jet. I strongly believe the Rafale is the best 4.5 jet on the planet, yet it means not much in the grand scheme of things. At least we know all the nonsense about spectre is gone. Why not? Russia struggling makes sense, they're broke and post USSR military industry is gone. China is a 20 trillion dollar economy that is the world's manufacturing hyper power. Why would China struggle? Stealth isn't exactly new technology.
Sure, I want the best plane to match the best pilots in the IAF. The Su-57 is not that. It's got a focus maneuverability like the Typhoon(why would you or India want that) It's the complete wrong design philosophy.
Nothing wrong with France and Israel, but even the most pro Russian people on this forum know that the war in Ukraine has dragged for about 3 years longer than people like @vstol predicted. Russia is owned by China economically. The longer the war drags on the more apparent it becomes. Russia, France and Israel are irrelevant when it comes to China. Russia in fact is a detriment. Unpleasant statements, but the truth imo.
For the record, I also believe the Govt is trying to put together case for 5th gen jet procurement in same Rafale fashion, ie small nos G2G deal if off the shelf buy with modification , large nos (where again small nos are direct buy then rest are made locally) if allowed local production with weapon integration/modification etc.
This should not hurt our other programs, domestic jets we can order any time we wish in nos , assuming engines are available.
