When Pakistan was entirely on America's side, Pak holding nukes was fine. But with Pak moving rapidly towards China and Turkey, their nukes have become liabilities. Plus with Iran defanged, Israel's next target is naturally Pakistan, and America is willing to play Israel's game.
US wants access to PoL to counter Chinese presence in Xinjiang. The same stuff they are trying to do in BD and Myanmar. India's rejected US presence on Indian territory though. And it's difficult for the US to operate in Central Asia.
And our establishment is probably aware of this. Let's hope we are able to prevent any such terror attacks. And this time I hope our forces are truly given free hand if they launch any military attack.
So, is US indirectly banking on Pak(Asim Munir) to do something stupid and India to denuclearise Pak?
I'm hoping things continue to heat up. Removing PAF will set them back by decades.

The US hatched a plan to snatch and grab Pak nukes in case they become a threat to America in 2011. The Pakistanis have threatened to use their nukes on India and the country that attempts to snatch their nukes if it happens (read Israel).
The US believes Pak is working on an ICBM to attack them too, so things are definitely hot.
India does not seem to factor in this too much, although I'm obviously not privy to such details.
We may have our own independent plans with different objectives. For example, we want to break Pak up and then build them up economically so they are no longer a threat of any sort whereas the US will want to retain Pak as a single entity that can continue acting as a counterweight to India. So the US may not want India to succeed even both countries want Pak denuclearized.

Hellfire did mention in his tweets that Pak nukes are controlled by US. If India breaks Pak up, it will ensure that there are no active nuke in those broken parts. I think, it’s time for India to think for itself in the long run and end the nuisance of Pakistan. West can cry for some time, try a few sanctions, but that’s something we have seen before. It will eventually pass as west realises that India is the only force that can stand up to China. Let’s hope our military and political leadership has the will to solve the problem once and for all!
At this point what's the point of refuting. Everyone understands what could have possibly happened with strike team. They had restraints and acted within them. No amount of denial will convince rational people otherwise. You denied SEAD/DEAD, expect moderate to high risk for the strike squadron.
It happened to me as well, twice, a day or two ago. Did not happen at all today.
I am really not clear on why this nonsense is being peddled now. Either, stay mum, if indeed they plan to resume actions or come out and say we messed up/had constraints and lost a jet due to that. Given all objectives are met, this shouldn’t matter, however, will be a lesson for future operations.
At this point, I am at my wits end as to why this kind of nonsense is being spread which is undermining an otherwise brilliant op!
I saw some one say that the forces should spell out how many jets were downed. There are also elements within the congress who are whipping up Jaishankers' old remarks and saying you informed them. A gentlemen wrote we lost a Billion Dollars in equipment. These things will again resurface. To be honest, the Govt. should expect these things. They were bound to happen. Not giving Pakistan initial leeway would mean total war. To be honest, looking at India's growth trajectory, I sympathise with PM Modi. Tough call. Too much going on Internationally all at once.
