Members Introduction (Feb 2019 onwards)

Greetings everyone. I'm a retired officer. I was in the army for 15 years, and I'm so grateful for the experience. I started out in a linear army unit and then transitioned to an operational command. I'm really interested in reading news about defense. I'm especially curious about conflicts around the world and the development of defense technologies.

Happy New Year everybody! I thought introductions might be overdue! Perhaps like many others, I got interested in Indian defense tech around June '25 after hearing about Operation Sindoor and ended up here as a result of a Google search. I have very little background on the Indian defense scene, or any defense tech in general, but I am naturally curious and hope to learn and contribute meaningfully. While I am a proud Indian American, I hope for both our countries to form closer ties and wish India success on the global stage and its Atmanirbhar vision.

Hello everyone! I have been actively following defense for the past 1 year nearly, naturally, Op Sindoor brought many of us together. Having been exposed to IAF at an early age, I have a natural inclination towards military aviation. My interests are Aviation ( Peace time and Combat) , NatSec, CI/CT. I am excited to read and learn so much from fellow enthusiasts.

See you guys around!

in Hindu mythology, demons (Asuras) frequently worship Lord Shiva. Shiva is revered as Bholenath, the innocent or easily pleased one, who does not discriminate between gods and demons, granting boons to anyone with intense devotion. Famous Asuras, including Ravana, were ardent devotees who sought power through his grace

You are fully right regarding Hindu mythology, but here I was referring to Asmodeus one of the prince of hell, just jokingly. Anyway it was light comment for fun and looked like Asmodeus is least bothered replying back.
