Let all the rationalizations about parts commonality with Vajra begin...
This thing is easily going to cost more than double the Kalyani Group & Tata wheeled MGS offerings owing to the armoured cabin for the occupants.
The KDNS RCH 155, which is it's analogue costs €14.3 million apiece as of 2025.
The Kalyani 155/52 AMAGS on the other hand comes in at less than $3 million apiece.
Unless the Army is willing to reduce the number of units its procuring, I don't see the K9 MH even coming into the picture.

Weren't kalyanis ATAGS ordered too? Theres the commonality of parts for it too
Let's see if there is any follow-on order for more ATAGS. So far it's just a red-headed step child the IA only plans to use in the desert.

Indian Army is Short of Artillery, the Modern Battlefield’s Most Lethal Killer

I don't see the K9 MH even coming into the picture.

Hope so. The SK will only be too happy to accept more money to design/test porting it to a Tatra/AshokLeyland platform to reduce overall cost...
