Indian Missiles and Munitions Discussion

Now it's more or less confirmed it was Dhavani.
"Defence sources" state it was an "ICBM category missile". We saw it had a two stage booster. There's only one thing it could be.

A-V with a dhavani 2nd stage seems the most likely. Might be the first classified or not talked about test much like the LRAShM

Ah, no.
Just no.
Missile's boost behaviour showed 2 stage boosters for within atmosphere , & 3rd stage separating & going into space.

Plus we have never seen these scenes when previous LRASHM tests took place, only seen them during previous agni 5 test.

Not to mention the 3500+km notam, when LRASHM's max range is 1500+km.

Its either agni5 mk1/mk2 or Dhvani.

If we're stretching it, could be Land based test of K5, would be unusual but its a Possibility.

I call BS! Where is LRASHM’s second stage? We can clearly see the second stage igniting in multiple videos!
Its deffo agni 5 but i think its with a HGV(probably dhvani). BM04 is more of a TBM HGV rather than a stategic HGV. That will probably go on pralay type missiles or agni 1 or 2 class missiles.

No way to know what the payload was — Dhwani/MiRV/MaRV .. We only see the second stage ignition ..

LRASHM has a booster stage and a 2nd Stage inside the Hypersonic Glide vehicle.
I Wouldn't be surprised if real range of LRASHM is 2000+ km.
Can be, modification in trajectory can affect ranges greatly.

Currently LR-ASHM seemed to be programmed for 1500+km operationally effective max range.

Another possibility for yesterday's test.
