Does the political class in India have a plan to exploit this golden opportunity?
My 2c:
1. Build up roads/infrastructure rapidly in JK so the PoJK population see how much better the lives of the Kashmirs are on the other side.
2. Buy the local politicians in PoJK to hold a referendum on whether their local pop wants to rejoin with their Kashmiri brothers.
This is where you can burn money instead of ladli behen yojnas.

According to Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, Pakistani military aircraft violated Afghan airspace during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, launching strikes on civilian homes in the eastern provinces of Kunar, Khost and Paktika. There was no immediate acknowledgment of the strikes from Pakistan.
Mujahid described the operation as an act of "unprovoked aggression", saying the bombardment claimed the lives of 11 children, one woman and one elderly man.
The Taliban spokesman said 14 women were wounded in the strikes and later released photographs that he said documented the casualties and damage caused by the attack.

An Mi-17 helicopter of the Pakistan Army Aviation crashed near Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday (June 10, 2026), killing all personnel on board, the Army said.
"There were no survivors,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan military, said, without giving the number of those killed.
In a brief statement, it said that the accident occurred “during take-off due to a technical fault”.
Rescue and recovery teams immediately reached the crash site. A board of inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the exact technical cause of the accident.
Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir and all ranks of the Army “express deep grief over the tragic loss of precious lives and extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families”, the ISPR said.
Is india internally stable ? Is religious conflict in the country(specially hindu muslims) have resolved ?
India's current hindu muslim conflict is like tribal brabaric fight when one groups rapes and kill women of other group to humilate them.

Have u seen what happened to kashmiri pandits in kashmir even When it was part of indiaa while none such large scale things happened in west pakistan after 2048(some happend during 1991 babri demolition)
Use those money to resolve the conflict inside India, any path/method , any result is better than current one if it leads to internal stability
There is a framework called Liminal Warfare developed by David Kilcullen that I will use to respond to your concern. This framework consists of four layers.
The lowest layer is "overt". The referendum I mentioned would be the first among many obvious and openly acknowledged steps as a means to connect India to Gilgit Baltistan and Schaksgam Valley (which are the pieces that India will eventually hold on to) through PoJK.
The next layer is "ambiguous" aka plausible deniability. The initial set of referendums will then be a followed by a second set of referendums in which only those that can show proof of ancestral land ownership pre-partition will be allowed to become a citizen of Akhand Bharat. India is not weeding out undesirables; just ensuring that known terrorists and their collaborators are not granted safe harbor inside India. These will be remigrated back to PakPunjab where they came from. There are further steps to be taken here, but just wanted to show a small example. The key however, is that none of these steps can be misconstrued as India carrying out any operations in bad taste.
Now above those two layers, there are two more -- "covert" and "clandestine". These, I will not speak about.
But ulitmately to your point, once GB and SV are reunited, there may be large areas of PoJK that India might just have to give up forever because it is too toxic to hold on to.

> As long as Pak's military establishment rules the country, Pakistan wont improve. No military runs a successful economy anywhere in the world. Expecting pak's mil estab to run the country successfully is folly.
> A mil arms race with India will only further exacerbate this problem.
> Economic prosperity & democracy are the only things that matter to Gen-z. Lack of prosperity will turn the gen-z against ruling elites no matter their ideology. Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh succeeded in their gen-z revolutions. Pakistan's gen-z revolution failed.
> India shouldn't engage with pakistan. Their mil estab is so incompetent that they will never be a challenge to India in economic terms. Their economic & administrative mismanagement will eventually bring their downfall. Effects visible in PoK right now.
> India should increase efforts to create infra in these neighbouring countries. Infra facilitates economic prosperity. Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives should see the fruits of having good relations with India. Incentivising good relations through economic prosperity.
> Pakistan will be the only outlier in South Asia where a military Junta rules. They will eventually run pakistan's economy in the ground.
