On digging this topic further, I found that new birds of this standard are known as Su-34M while the current birds when upgraded to this M standard would carry the NVO nomenclature.
Nope. This is their PL-15 equivalent(dual pulse with AESA seeker) currently not for export. We have R-77-1 which is way inferior to R-77M. Because of latter's AESA seeker, it is pounding UAF fighters without triggering their RWR. You need digital RWR to intercept/detect AESA emissions. Analogue ones like Ukrainian Migs and Sukhoi have got, has zero chance to counter it.
So with pl-15,iaf also will be in backseat against Chinese & PAF.

All our fighters are slowly getting Digital RWR. But still PL-15 is a serious threat to us, no doubt.
MK1A will have digital RWR covering frequencies from 1GHz to 40GHz. This is as good as SPECTRA if not better.

With both these things becoming reality simultaneously, IAF very well may get re-interested in FGFA program.
Countering J-20s is our biggest priority now. Upgraded MKI and Rafale can only counter it with help of our IADS. Su-60MKI/FGFA will dominate it in a 1 on 1 head-on BVR/WVR battle. We need it. Period.

We do have digital rwr's. Dhruti is that thing. All of our fighters have digital rwr's except for mig21.
Tejas Mk1 too doesn't have Digital RWR. Once we upgrade it to MK1A standard, then it too shall be equipped with RWR-NG.
