Thank god it got tested. I thought the project is dead since no test for 2+ years. Nirbhay is going to be our most important missile, the only one which will be launched from 4 platforms: Land, Air, Sea-surface, underwater
Finally launched from 8x8 launcher.
The first test was in 2013 comrade South Block.Test, test....Lora Lehasun. They have been testing various iteration of this for like 2 decades how many more tests.

And the first launch from a canisterFinally launched from 8x8 launcher.
LRLACM looks much more compact in comparison to previous NIRBHAY. Both the Missile & Launcher along with the launch vehicle. The developmental trial should be finished quickly and a big number order should be given by the Armed forces. And the first launch from a canister
Every thread you spam the same whining post.Test, test....Lora Lehasun. They have been testing various iteration of this for like 2 decades how many more tests.
Calm! It's headed towards serial production soon.Test, test....Lora Lehasun. They have been testing various iteration of this for like 2 decades how many more tests.
This.... Cannister means naval VLS compatibility. And the first launch from a canister
Cold launch then?This.... Cannister means naval VLS compatibility.
We will buy lora or whatever we want, may even buy Tomahawk or Klub, may be even both. What's wrong in it? Go and ask DRDO why they failed to develop a cruise missile even after getting TOT for Brahmos. Remember, first flight of Nirbhay happened in 2012 as 1500 km class subsonic cruise missile , that program such a failiure that in between they rechristened as ITCM & later LR-LACM.Test, test....Lora Lehasun. Most likely.Cold launch then?
By the looks of it, UVLS would be basically Brahmos' VLS. Other missiles like LR-LACM, Project Vishnu, naval BMD interceptors would be made compatible with that system.Waiting for UVLS reveal
Nirbhay has as much commonality with BrahMos as an AK47 with railgun. Stop whining. Last 5 tests have been successfully, that's what count. AoN is there, so are DcPPs. Production EOI for the engines production was issued 3 years ago. That's it, this is the finish line. This time it was fired from a canister which indicates high level of readiness and near frozen configuration. We will buy lora or whatever we want, may even buy Tomahawk or Klub, may be even both. 2012 to 2026,still undergoing development. Only thing which still not mature after similarly long nurturing is Mr Rahul.Nirbhay has as much commonality with BrahMos as an AK47 with railgun. The air intake on the LR-LACM is already concealed within the missile's airframe

My guess is that DRDO would start working on further RCS reduction by incorporating stealth shaping once the baseline LR-LACM gets inducted across the three services.
Also, the Rudram-IV/LRSOW that is being worked upon may eventually end up being our JASSM type low observable cruise missile.
