India - People's Republic of China Relations : Updates and Discussions

New claims of encroachment by the PLA. I couldn't find the four spots on google maps, which are mentioned in the article . But Taksing is 2.5 km from the border.
Apparently, most of those areas were already taken by the PLA during the 1962 war, and they have remained under PLA control for decades. However, there is an arrangement between both sides that allows locals to travel to those sites. Perhaps the PLA is now restricting Arunachalis from traveling to those areas. For example, the Asaphila area is spread across both sides of the LAC (more of it is on the chinese side than our side).

You can geolocate the Asaphila area, by the way. However, the publicly available satellite images are about a year old, and I did not notice anything suspicious in them.

To fight and WON a modern war. You need 3 main things:
1) A well organised ,integrated a d disciplined soldiers and officers
2) modern equipment and industry to support it during and before war
3) a great militry strategist and militry leader

2nd point, gujrati(actually gujrati baniyas and jains) helps in that.

And as you are asking about nunber of soldiers from Gujarat and Kerala then let me tell you, it is(and business which i talked earlier) due to caste and culture.

Westerns indians(punjab, haryana, himanchal) were almost 90% of officers in 1947 while their population was less than 10%.

Its because majority of them were of kshatriya caste(jaat, rajput, khatri).

Infact the mallu who are in militry are from similar kshatriya caste. Its because caste became culture, caste is bigger culturer things than region or state.

How many non-kshatriya caste people are in militry from Kerla ? As a percentage, it wont be much different from Gujrat

And the caste culture is the reason why caste based reservation failed, because it just gave a short cut to many unprivileged caste people.

Instead if caste based culture upgradation has been implemented which needed industries as it employee large number of people(unlinke IT) at middle income level then caste issue, atleast at economic level would have been very less.
I don't think that any casteism exist with military.
Indian military is one of the most disciplined militaries in the world. The were incidents (infact multiple ) military used to wait 16 to 24 hours for the orders from Delhi to fire back at pakistanis. They even stolled op sindoor when Delhi gave them orders when we had clear advantage over Pakistanis.
kerala Kshathriya cast is "Varma" ( not to confuse with the cast Verma ), i never saw any mallu soldier or officer from that cast.

Lastly, Gujjus are money oriented people (not a bad thing though ) they won't ptefer india going for war with Pakistan or china at the expense of ecenomy.

Why be racist toward gujjus ??

You are mallu, right ? Previous kerla cm pinarai vijayan is very big fan of Xi.

I have seen many posters on colleges and school events in kerala where people are thanking hamas(yeah hamas who rapes and kill people, inafct they even killed many indians, one was even a mallu nurse working in israel around 2020)

Modi hugging Xi is because of his socialist mentality.

Modi is Congress of 2000s + Temples( not hindus or hinduta but just temple).

Reality is that. Its socialist and communist who is responsible for under development of this country.

If we had a capitalist, market oriented PM with full majority then we would have been much better(although still we first need a PM who solves the religious and caste issue first, at any cost)

PLA denying Indian forces access to key patrolling points in Taksing: PPA

ITANAGAR, 10 Aug: A fact-finding committee (FFC) deputed by the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) has reported that China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) troops have effectively denied Indian forces access to key patrolling points in the Taksing area of Upper Subansiri district and are steadily expanding control over traditional Indian grazing and hunting grounds along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The four-member committee, headed by former minister and PPA chief adviser Kahfa Bengia, visited Taksing on 10 July. Other members were Kaling Jerang (vice president), Sorang Kiokam (secretary) and Narah Jimmy (secretary). The team held detailed interactions with local leaders, elders and intellectuals from Taksing, Maza and Galemo, as well as with senior defence personnel and jawans stationed in the area.

One of the most serious findings concerns Shera 5 Point, a designated Indian patrolling point. According to local accounts shared with the committee, Indian and Chinese troops had a physical confrontation at the site in 2023.

The Indian forces subsequently withdrew and have not returned. PLA troops later dismantled the remaining Indian markers and have since blocked Indian patrols from accessing the point.

The FFC described this as a clear illustration of how incremental Chinese intrusions are being consolidated on the ground.

The PPA team also reported that Nanga Pahar, traditionally used by the Nah and Mara communities for hunting and yak rearing, has been declared a strictly prohibited zone for local residents.

"This restriction," the committee noted, "has given the PLA greater freedom to push forward. The nature of the intrusions is well calculated, gradual and persistent, following a familiar pattern seen over several years," it stated.

The team identified major operational gaps and vulnerabilities in the area, including that the Indian Army's patrolling is largely confined to the April-October window. The harsh winter weather and heavy snowfall lead to suspension of regular patrolling for the remaining months, whereas the PLA activity continues year-round.

It also observed that the porters, who normally ferry supplies for Indian troops, are not engaged during the winter months, "which indicates clear low presence of Indian troops."

As a counter measures, the FFC also pressed for "acceleration of the ongoing BRO road from Nacho to Taksing on a war footing." It also urged the government to prioritise the proposed 68-km BRO road from Galemo to Pokorla.

It demanded that the government expedite the Taksing-Pokorla road via Yaja and Huri under a strict time-bound schedule and construct a helipad at Sipi 2 (Rest Point) and establish permanent Army base camps at Sipi 4 and Sipi 6.

The FFC also recommended providing reliable power supply (instead of diesel generators) and functional telephone/network connectivity in forward locations such as Maza and Galemo. Both jawans and local residents flagged poor power and communication links as major demotivating factors, it said.
