Apparently, most of those areas were already taken by the PLA during the 1962 war, and they have remained under PLA control for decades. However, there is an arrangement between both sides that allows locals to travel to those sites. Perhaps the PLA is now restricting Arunachalis from traveling to those areas. For example, the Asaphila area is spread across both sides of the LAC (more of it is on the chinese side than our side).
New claims of encroachment by the PLA. I couldn't find the four spots on google maps, which are mentioned in the article . But Taksing is 2.5 km from the border.
You can geolocate the Asaphila area, by the way. However, the publicly available satellite images are about a year old, and I did not notice anything suspicious in them.
