but so much testing also gives a impresion that the system has some issues. Why doesnt Russia deploys Brahmos in its military?
Missiles and all other weapons for that matter are made in batches and so they may be testing random missile from every batch to check efficacy... maybe...
So DRDO will provide a miniaturized version of the Scramjet engine to Brahmos aerospace for the development of the Brahmos Hypersonic missile, hope the size of the platform size remains the same.

Travel 4000 kms to deliver a Brahmos with 300 kms range. What exactly was the purpose of this exercise & more importantly the signalling?
Picture them taking off from A&N. The entire dispute region of the SCS is in striking range. The signaling is needed as we don't have a lot of the Brahmos ALCM in service just yet. The range(fighter+missile) should be enough to cover multiple theatres. Saying it in theory is one thing demonstrating is another.
Still need a better range cruise missile IMO as there are two many weak links in this whole exercise that can be exploited by cheenis.
A stealthy CM similar to LRASM/SCALP/STORM SHADOW/SOM with range of 3k-3.5 k would be very appropriate.
After mastered in supersonic ejection technology like HSTDV AND SMART, I think Brahmos extended-range (800 km and 1500 km) missile will be a combination of multistage rocket with Brahmos.
Bhramos with a 1500 kms range will be huge and I think it is incorrectly reported. We are developing the Long Range Land Attack Cruise missile (newer version of Nirbhay) for this purpose.
Brahmos may be a favourable missile, but india is not a favourable country to purchase defense equipment. Asper Dr APR indi denied armenia WLR when they need the radar during war.
Yeas, 1500 km mach 3 missile will be a ulta heavy weight missile, no military will go for such platform for attack role
