Congrats everyone. My heart was beating out of my chest in the last few minutes.![]()
Not yet. It will take a few hours for the lunar dust to settle.Any video / photo of actual landing / lander?
To be honest, that gave me some anxiety.I knew it was going to be success when I saw it come down to 149.2m and than went up to 150.2m as that was supposed to be its altitude hold phase at 150m from touch down. It auto corrected and I knew at that time that it will land properly.
But I was watching the vertical velocity as well and Knew that it was doing its job well. It is probably the first ever completely autonomous landing using Artifical intelligence anywhere in the world. Once the ALS was triggered by the ground control, it was totally the Vikam Lander which took over.To be honest, that gave me some anxiety.
