I think I have brought this up in the past as well, but it bears repeating.
There are many members who adopt the shoot and scoot modus operandi of posting.
They generally travel and hunt in packs, as can be seen on multiple threads where a conversation between the two sides quickly draws in members of one side to bolster the forces and then pick on the lone guy of the other side.
The methodologies adopted are the following:
1) A thumbs up or a funny smiley to thank a worthless post that has clearly broken one of the forum's standing rules (racist or abusive or personal or generally derogatory to a group of people or an individual, often another member)
2) One liner cheerleading with zero content and further snideys, once again in contravention of the rules
3) Two, three, and sometimes four-way abusive/derogatory/insulting discussion about another member who will not remain silent and bow out, or another member who is not even present in the discussion at the time
4) Getting personal about the female family members of one who will not remain silent or bow out, very akin to what one sees in the jungli jhopadpatti class of PDF. I find this pretty disgusting to be honest. I think we suck with women in general. And its cringey to see some of the stuff on social media, and have to see it here as well.
Now the above would happen, and mature members would report these issues, and truth be told, moderators would and do clean things up immediately.
But what about repeat offenders?
How long do we have to report before paying back in the same coin and then having a holocaust here?
How long will you guys continue shoveling crap?
