Yes! Finally able to login after trying for half an hour. It's not the Web Browser issue, as I had optimized it Multiple Times in last half an hour & last night as well.
Certain area of USA was facing really bad weather and in my organization as well some network traffic congestion and reroutes happened to manage it. As our server is in USA I suspect some network related problem somewhere was behind this.
@nair , could you please also revert to my post on Hindutva from yesterday, that has been pending?
I'd like to point out that the continued religious pinpricks from the other side do not abate. Please note the post by @vstol Jockey on the Indian Politics thread today, to which I have reverted.
Needless to mention, in their typical shoot and scoot fashion, there has been no rebuttal.

So that people don't misuse it. Pass abuse and then edit it. Though self realization of mistake/ or want to add more relevant stuff is worth encouraging, but misuse has its own impacts.
We can, however, revisit the option.

I think the option should be with the poster . Editing out abusive language can also suggest the initial anger has dissipated and the urge for self correction is there .However , I was referring to adding material that may not have occurred to the member at the time of posting including correcting typos and grammatical errors .
Agree to both of your points.
The negative is when people abuse and once they achieve what they want, edit it. Anyways, this is childish to do and policy must not be driven by kiddish behavior.
Secondly, irresponsible editing break the flow of argument.

See there was a reason behind that.... As people have edited posts after abusing or violating rules, and we had to go back and check the logs.... So the editing options was time limits to give poster the options to edit for mistakes or to amend....... Beyond 30 minutes the option goes.... There has been request to increase the time line, we will look in to it shortly......
If you want to amend beyond that period suggest quoting the same post and addition your points....... In case you want it to be deleted, report it with a request, any mod online would do it....
@_Anonymous_ Meanwhile tag admins/mods/team member to help you add stuff. I know its not very handy when you want to add a line or two to strengthen you argument, but still.
I don't think the time lag is 30 min .It seems more like 10 min or less . 30-45 min is also fine .
It was set to 30 mims and I changed it to 45 mins. Let me know if you face any issues.
It's 10 min or less the last I tried to exercise the option which was nearly 1 hour ago around the time I lodged the complaint .

What is the meaning of political discussion thread when some people like Bongodeshi and a rabid Hindu hater gets away with posting shit, calling South Indians Lungis, Black and rest of Indians as brown boys by a deranged doc, whom i exposed his real face.
While my posts are being moderated and not allowed to post in that thread till 26 april. Looks, this is turning into another PDF,where people who mudsling Hindus, India get a favorable pass from Mods,while those who reply to such provocation get moderated.
Is there a favorite mod, by whom these lot can get away by posting vile messages on Hindus?
I know you might be friends with that lot, that doesn't mean the mods start behaving like PDF ones.

These people were shouting that day that they were insulted by a person on Twitter and blah blah blah. But they actually are of poor character. This forum is anyways a failure with hardly any meaningful discussions. Even the number of people being added to the forum is minimal. For their attitude, it is no surprise. Simply move to other forums.
