if it can be quad-packed, only a single 8-cell VLS is all that would be needed.

I don't think actual UVLS is ready.

Public info about actual UVLS is limited to none.

Brahmos VLS is labeled as UVLS, but its bad, Brahmos UVLS is circular and in no way ut can quad packed.

I don't think it can even tri pack VL-SRSAM.

Yes, I would have preferred 8 too, but look at the BrahMos missile; it's a heavy boy with a standoff range of 900 km, and the ship is just 1500 cr a pop; the Visby-class cost the same in 2009

The NGMVs hull seems to be groaning under the weight of the missile. Sadly Brahmos M/NG is yet to make it's debut after years of waiting.

There's no comparison between NGMV and the all composite, LO-optimized Visby. Both are built for different operating environments.
