DRDO is working on many niche products for which there are very limited alternatives worldwide. Targeting pods, Ejection seats for fighters, wideband jammer pod, active protection system, and now HMD. These will take time to develop and mature. In next decade, We will become a more affordable, politically neutral alternative to options like Israel.

That the Army is facing an ATGM shortage despite hundreds & thousands of Konkurs, Milan 2T, Spike ATGMs being ordered in the past few years and that DRDO has not even fielded a third gen F&F ATGM prototype because systems like Nag, SANT, Dhruvastra and MP-ATGM have already seen multiple trials.
In that article they clearly mentioned that we do have atgms and are second gen while PA & plaa had fielded 3rd & fourth gen missiles. And as long as DRDO stuck with development trials we cannot accept that they did deliver something. None of the missiles u mentioned are under trials still.

Maybe if you remove your head from the sand where you have stuck for God knows how long and then do a simple Google search rather than acting ignorant, you will understand how many trials have been conducted on the Nag, SANT, Dhruvastra and MP-ATGM so far.

Our government should look into all sectors where we have higher import and we are capable to produce it on our own. Government should give heavy incentive to make them in India or contact big players in the industries to encourage them to make it in India. There should be an incentive for local production and higher import duty to discourage import.
