Govt withdraws fake news order on PM Modi directive after massive outrage

Soli Paymaster on RG in 2012 - "Aa gehlchxxia bosmarxxa dickraa chhe. Kai ilaaj nathi."

You know the right wing is rattled when they start admitting in their unguarded moments (assumedly in the company of other right wingers) that Rahul is sounding a lot better, more forceful, assured, even a viable (crafty, conniving) challenger.

Pity about Modi. He won't even be remembered like Vajpayee was.

Cheers, Doc

...not even in the baugs except in your fervid & febrile imaginations.

BJP supporter or not anyone spreading fake news as a journalist must be accountable.

You can be independent and say whatever you want and laws will apply accordingly but to use whole institution of journalism for personal gains and harming the country should not be tolerated.
Well thats the biggest problem laws are always being abused by one party or another. As such one way of avoiding it is not having the law.

There might be genuine cases where it is needed but there are more chances of it having applied else where. For example you have Official Secrets Act that can be ambiguously slapped on any one and harass them while its intention is entirely different.

Further more its not as if there not enough laws its only that they are not applied effectively. Until then no matter what laws are brought about nothing much will change.

Turns out that more than anything it was the comparison with Rajiv that miffed Modi G, more than anything.

This is the classic good cop bad cop routine that they have been following, ensuring zero culpability at the top.

India's version of non state actors.

Motor mouths articulate the true ideological position.

Then they wait.

If there are no screams from a whipped and stunned populace, or one drunk on saffron juice, it slowly morphs into policy.

With the blessings of the top.

If screams of molestation come in, do an about turn and throw the motor mouth under the bus.

Note. Nothing ever happens to motor mouth. Life moves on. Memory is fickle.

And the saffron league has many more motormouths from where this particular one came from, chomping at the bit to get their taste of blood. In case they be needed.

Problem for them is that they think most of India are brain dead saffron jingos.

It's called arrogance and hubris.

And we all know what comes next ...

Cheers, Doc
