India-Nepal Relations

Why injure Indian people on the border where there is no dispute? My ex colleague hails from that area. Area is very well demarcated on both sides with clear boundary. It seems something else. Let's see what comes out of it.

Nepal Police firing | Nepal police opens fire on Indo-Nepal border in Bihar; one dead; Indian citizen detained | India News

One man has died in the firing while two have been injured. One person has also been detained by Nepali security personnel and talks are on to get him released.

Indian officials are being reported to said, incident happened deep inside Nepal. Still preliminary reports only.

I won't be surprised if you listen villagers capture these policeman and keep them hostage or kill them in retaliation.
 
First Pakistan, then Bangladesh and now Nepal. Thanks to congress for making nepal a secular country. They have won the long term strategic response. Never thought that one day people will hear such news. But this seems to divert people of Nepal from upcoming covid19 crisis and failure of Nepal Government to handle the pandemic.
 
The communist government in Nepal has crossed the red line.
Chinese have opened their cards. Now it's onto India how it handles!
This is now over the limit. Even if they are diverting the people's mind, opening caliber is no way tolerated.
Time's up for the communist government in Nepal. It looks like Sri Lanka kind of crisis will be there soon.

News filtering in that Nepali police claimed Indian was illegally trying to cross border to/from his father in law home. Many Indians are married across the border due to open border facility. But if it's open border then claiming illegal entry seems fishy.

It's a local law enforcement incident, or that's how India is taking it. Standard policing work and all, no national or international dimensions so far.

Let us not read too much in this incident. We have had such incidents earlier also. In this case Indians are at fault. They tried to snatch rifles from Nepal Police.

illegal entry means, now days border is closed due to covid.

But I am more concerned about Chinese influence.
