I can buy satellite images of the area which was covered. My resolution will be higher than that of Reuter's one. Planet labs had resolution of 72cm. I will get 50.

My biggest dilemma is this: Should I buy these images and prove or doubt the attack or I just donate the money to our martyrs. The money involved is not insignificant. @Falcon @vstol Jockey @Nilgiri @nair @BlackOpsIndia What do you guys think. I have pondered on it for sometime and I believe a second opinion will be useful.

If I were you I would help the living instead of trying to win some trivial Internet argument.
@safriz is right on this one, you can use that money for better things now that we know exactly that it was penetrating bomb. We could barely get more information via private satellite.
One mortar lands in a family of 4 in J&K of Pakistan army and all 4 dies, the pain is felt thousands of km away just by reading it. Now imagine you are sleeping at night with your ustad after whole day training for jihad and a boom sound a gadget come from roof with 250kg of highly explosive material, next thing you know ustads fingers and brains are hanging from the roof. Boom again and few more jihadi getting roasted with brains blown out, blood and more then blood flesh like debris, tiny pieces everywhere, boom again 3 more times. In the end barely anyone worth recognizing and if someone somehow remain alive decapitated he will never be able to sleep. The trauma they have seen is monumental, in their life they will shiver even with the name of India or Jihad.
So the message is delivered to the people who matters most, they know next time a boom sound from GHQ roof or ISI HQ roof will gouge their eyes and their broken fingers won't be ever found. A loath of meat will be delivered in coffin in name of funeral if they keep up with terrorism in India. They know what happened to them, what's in store for them and that's the only thing matter not social media or Reuters or anything.
My advice don't waste money on it govt too will release these pics someday, including multiple pics at 1.5-2 hr interval showing mass grave digging, ambulances, pak army, chaos everything. Just wait for it and it will be delivered to you.

Your narration reminded me of the scene from Tere Bin Laden when Sikandar the prize winning Chicken flies off with a grenade, blows up, and turns into tandoori chicken. Very funny movie.
Haven't seen that movie but I have come to the conclusion that we gave them the most gruesome death, right in their home, under the protection of their guardian angels and when they were not expecting it at the "time when earth is closest to moon and allah is showering the blessings, in the most auspicious period of the day" (paraphrasing Azhar's own words after Pathankot attack).

why do you want to buy these? what are you trying to prove?
I took some time off from the forums and came to some conclusions. Maybe they can help you decide? here goes:
1) the narrative that Pak gave - about no one being killed in Balakot strike is really missing the forest for the trees. the point here was, the Govt of India authorized a strike inside Pakistan. This happened despite PAF was on "full alert" and doing its CAPs.
2) the narrative about a captured pilot by Pakistan and the associated brouhaha - the Pilot isnt a PoW, we arent at war. The narrative on our side is: we hit a terrorist camp, our intention was not to hit any army or civilians. we defended our airspace and continued on a hot pursuit of offending aircraft (which PAF could not do in our initial strike) - and got back our pilot.
Thats all our narrative is. this has no scope for proof of how many died. Just not required. In all this noise of "if the attack was successful" you forgot the fundamental shift happening from India's side. and this is neither the first over border strike, nor the first country we breached to protect ourselves - dont forget we also had a cross border "co-ordinated" attack over our Myanmar border.
In all the above, not one intl player has condemned or said anything to India. now that - is the point to make.
so next time there is another attack on our soil and we choose to hit another basecamp - we have a precedent set.
We are not going to hit terrorists base camp if there is any blackswan event, not going to waste precious ammunition on cannon fodder, top Pakistani security leadership will be targeted, escalation ladder be dammed.
If the bombs like IAF has said were designed to do maximum internal damage (rather than bring down the buildings)....then I don't really know how much any (post strike) optical satellite picture can ascertain. Pakistan can easily have patched up any entry points on the roof in just few hours time.
Rather than the resolution increase from 72 to 50, it would be the date on offer that's lot better than Reuters (I believe their pics are from some time in early March?).
Tough question, but its up to you in the end. My gut feeling is the pics will neither confirm nor deny anything concrete.

I am doing my bit making sure every (friendly) doubting thomas I know understand the reality of Pakistan. You keep producing clear self-goals like this one....and not even shy about it. Lakh di lanat on all of you that support this. 90,000 should have been left to the Bengalis to deal with.
My problem stems from something else. Is the best case -- Confirming the holes or whatever damage -- going to do much better than simply donating to those who laid their lives for Indian cause.. I am not sure and that is perplexing me.
There were more than one satellite focused on that area that day, not just our but others too so your one pic if lucky may capture few bodies outside but GoI with it resources can give us more photos with timeline showing much more than just impact on roof. They will release them for sure only question is when.
At one particular moment in the day there could hardly be much to be gained via satellite photographs but it seems you are inclined to order them.

Well these pictures are not time sensitive right? They are simply there for purchase and can be done so at any time.
So give it some time and see what develops/is released in the short and mid term. Someone might even purchase and release this source's pictures at some point too.
You hedge bet lot better that way.
Those that cannot be convinced by any evidence to show a strike...will remain so whatever comes their way. So there is really no need to rush for this I feel.
