Indian Automotive Sector

I thought with the example of the Nano most auto manufactures would've learnt their lessons. Wonder what were Mahindra thinking?
What I fail to understand is, why go out of your way to make EV's uglier than they need to be.

That & the concept of last mile connectivity is something that has connotations of being cheap rather than economic & VFM.

Mahindra could've instead focussed on EV for bikes & broke new ground instead of simply adding to the clutter of Indian bike manufacturers out there . In fact Atom as public transport in the form of 3 Wheelers could be a winning idea too . Just my 2 cents.

This off roader which otherwise gives a sub par performance on regular roads will work excellently on regular roads in UP.
Villages to be precise. HIGHWAYS in UP are not that bad. It hardly takes me 11 hrs to reach allahabad from delhi with aprox 1 hr wastage within delhi and 45 min stopover at yamuna expressway.
Also engines seems sufficiently powerful for routine offroading where torque matters most along with its proper and intalligent destribution among four wheels. thats why despite less powerful, Fortuner is better offroader than Endeavour.
anyway Mahindra is marketing it as lifestyle vehicle. its no more a pure off roader.

Petrol version with 300nm/ 156 bhp m-stallion engine is brand new and very refined . it can be remapped to full 190 bhp for those wanting more.

Mahindra is making good looking vehicles now ?!?! Amazing !
The design is very likable. I wonder how the price, power and safety stacks up to its competition.
The infotainment screen is a little too small though.

Looks like Royal Enfield wants to make a cruiser with their 650cc parallel twin engine. The body is similar to the KX concept previously showcased. USD front forks, conventional front suspension. Front and Rear disc brakes. Not bad looking, of course the pic quality is horrible. It was spied road testing, looks to be in pretty advanced state. RE stated that they would launch 1 bike every 3 months for the next 4 years or something. They already have Meteor and Hunter nearly ready to launch. Here is the third new bike:
