A 100-kW mobile vehicle borne counter UAS laser DEW for Army is under development now.
A similar 100 kW CUAS for Navy is also in the works.
The 300-kW laser DEW is a semi static system meant for protection of HVA/HVP against UAS.
These C-UAS sys will later evolve into C-RAM.

Project completion date of AULWS-50 is this year.
And we will get a system at par with Rafael Iron Beam next year.
Good progress in DEW so far.

Some numbers cited by DG ECS , and shipborne also mentioned (they were going to mount the truck version onto ship deck for testing initially, tender already came out last year).

Can someone tell me what's the difference between Single Channel and Multi Channel?
Single channel means the laser has a single source. Such a laser will have very high coherence, a single wavelength & overall a more predictable spectral & power delivery behavior.

Multi-channel could mean multiple sources of the light used to form the laser beam or multiple laser beams converging to form a single beam. So, the laser will have multiple wavelengths, a reduced coherence & will have a bit more erratic behavior.

For a DEW applications single channel lasers are thought to be superior in performance. Although at power ranges less than 150 kW, the difference isn't as great.

Single channel lasers are more expensive than multi-channel lasers. So, for smaller, highly mobile, tactical DEWs it makes sense to go for multi-channel lasers.

What is the highest KW laser we have developed so far? Can be in testing phase too.

Because it is a gas laser it is very large & impractical for military use. But it did give CHESS-DRDO a lot of experience in designing & validating the electronics & backend software for a laser of such power.
