Ka27 of Russian Navy on Indian frigate.

I have not seen Ka28PLs of Indian Naval Aviation in the recent past.

Out of the total fleet of 13 (3 were trainers), 10 were supposed to get overhaul in Russia followed by 6 units getting sensor update in India.

Russia did supply the 1st couple of units after overhauling.

I have not heard anything post that.

Reports say this pod can counter both RF and IR threats. Probably means it has a built-in maws to cue flares?

Imo, only drawback is it requires 2 pods to provide 360 deg coverage.
