Karnataka population is 6 crore. Lingayats exist only in karnataka and border areas of Maharashtra and Andhra. They overall make 1.5 crore or less. Where did 9 crore come from? Again, the claim by congress is that virashaiva is different from Lingayats. Virashaiva and Lingayat split 40:60. So, overall Lingayat come to be less than 1 crore. What logic did you use for your 9 crore number?

Lingayats seceding will make them minority. Minority means that they will now become weak. They will have no leaders acceptable to everyone and will lose their power.

Another fact is that almost all lingayats called themselves Lingayat Hindus when surveyed recently about support for different religion status. There is no sign of Linngayats discontent over Hinduism. you can't simply order people that they henceforth belong to new religion

However, the shia and sunni appear to be right case for separate religion. What do you say?

You don't know about Kerala, in Kerala all Hindus(all caste and creeds), Christians and Muslims live together, and are indistinguishable. Hindu Keralites will defend all good and peaceful fellows... even Muslims and Christians. Whatever be the internal differences, you will not get any allies or local support.

If you try to interfere, all Keralites will get united and come after you. You are more than welcome to try. You can't do Hindu-Muslim as you do in other parts of India.

Lingayats are not muslims or Christians, they are OBC Hindus almost 20% population of Karnataka. They dominate their area. You should google about "Periyar".

OBC is the votebank of BJP, if OBCs withdraw support BJP and Hindutwa will crumble like a pack of cards. Hindu-Lingayat is Lingayat none the less and different from mainstream Hinduism that you want them to be part of.

Yes differences between Lingayat(OBC SC ST in general) and rest of the Hindus is similar to Shia-sunni or Catholic-protestant.

And thats exactly why jinnah was an inhuman evil scumbag. Because he unleashed death and rape on ordinary civilians for his ends.
I have no idea idea why the mods are not warning you for your megalomaniacal diatribes of war. You can have your opinions on defense procurement and even warring options on violent groups within and outside India. But this is definitely illegal and should atleast deserve a warning not to misuse this platform. For heavens sake , free speech in any constitution has a clause saying "except for incitement of violence". @mods

People talking of civil war are merely seasonal frogs doing tarr tarr or best irritating mosquitoes humming around the ears. Once the shit hit the fan in real, will nowhere to see.

Even agencies ignores them. They are harmless.

Nation has chosen BJP and they are here to stay unless more efficient substitute comes upfront.

I don't see any for now and such people comes as blot with the pack.

I inquired about this, this has to do with land reforms done by the communists in Kerala long ago. There is still lots of loyalty towards CPM.
A loyalist votes for CPM even if his/her enemy stands in elections. CPIM may lose but still people will not vote for BJP or any other party.

But loyalty is getting eroded with each generation.
