Amazing considering how fragile choppers look, seaking outlast one ACC and playing with its successor.
PS: can anyone tell if CIWs are installed or not and which one is selected for Vikrant.
BTW I love the sound of Phalanx but as far as I know Russian AK CIWS are more lethal.
Phalanx ain't coming sad part is we haven't modernised to the ak630-2. This is what the Russians are using

The chinese use the type 1130 on their ships

Ours don’t have integrated targeting systems (radar or EO) ?
Don't seem to from what I've seen ak630 seems remote controlled like a normal turret i.e; manned.
We don't have radar. The firing isn't as accurate compared to phalanx atleast on ak630.

New build British carriers are sailing all over the world including conflict zones. Our Vikky has almost a decade in service yet to leave the Indian Ocean.

Do we have enemies across the world like British which is a part of NATO forces?
No
Or do you want India to start a war with say argentina or Brazil or South Africa, etc so that vikky go into that war zone...🤔

Simple we don't have enemies that far. INS Vikramaditya and Vikrant Both are for coastal deterrence and sea denial for Pakistan and China. They fulfill their roles and that's what matters...

And if you remember INS Vikramaditya took very first voyage from Russia to India if you really want to know the capability...

hmmm..then why is there a task force now in SCS? Why do we rotationally deploy there?

Vikky didn't even go to the central Indian ocean areas like Seychelles. Which are definitely in our area of concern.

Vikky is severely short-legged with its outdated boilers and probably a maintenance hell.
