Correct. Bit even with an A1, (or whatever else) the reception still depends on the state visit protocol level...As far as I remember, anything below an official visit, (actually even an official working visit) doesn't automatically get accorded state protocol. And if it's an official visit, a head of government doesn't travel on a commercial flight (no emergencies in the flight originating location, were there)

but calling hafiz Saeed is bad.everyone commits mistakes in his life.blaming everything on Pak army and pm looks so bad.you can also read all the above comments here, madrao even want me to leave this website.it is so sad.

Read up on Hafiz Saeed. I (or the Indian government) are not the only people condemning him. He is on the UN designated list, the US most wanted list. These are the irrefutable facts.

I hope this was on topic, and not personal to any member, just to the terrorist mastermind being discussed.

You're mixing up two separate things. Don't link immigration with state protocol. if Kim jong-un gives a surprise visit to the US on a Chinese airline you can't arrest him as he is automatically entitled to diplomatic immunity. What is A1 visa in US can be any other designation eleswhere. It doesn't matter, he gets diplomatic immunity. Now, will the US show him respect and provide security is totally up to them and their protocols.

Agreed, and I totally get the logic. But kim doesn't have warrants pending in a US court, or does he?

Just saying, it's never going to happen, but these are leverage tools that can be used, abd the US has been known to use leverage from time immemorial

lol, as I said US laws don't apply on diplomatic immunity. Want to get someone on diplomatic immunity arrested go to Hague or designate him as a terrorist in UN when he arrives. Or want to really screw up don't give him security when he arrives and put a price on his head. Some lunatic will attack him anyway. You can say oops later and get away.

@Paro you are giving way too many ideas that do not belong in a forum like this. @Arsalan123 would be shell-shocked. Cannot treat guests this way!!

Don't respond to him on those posts, report them. All off topic posts will be deleted or moved, no need to worry.

@Arsalan123
Mods, Do let me know if my posts are anti- national or offensive. I doubt that has been the case insofar

The fact that he is traveling to the US, with no state protocol, except for 7/22 when he meets Trump, says it all. This is a visit, that has been the result if (as always) either begging. Or back channel (Jared Kushner -Ali Siddiqui nexus). The Pak media, adept as it is in spinning, conveniently added the *Official* to the visit. Facts remain, that all visits to the US, by heads of state Or government (Ik is a head of govt, so is Modi) are accorded protocol by the book. The only distinguishing factor, as @Paro aptly pointed out, is how important the visiting dignitary is. Now go figure.

For the uninitiated, (and I do not mean the legacy members hers) I'm posting this again for @Arsalan123 benefit. I urge you to read it carefully.

It is very sad that members are making fun of imran Khan here.he is in a very difficult situation and you can even see tension on his face.it is very easy to make fun.members here knows everything about pakistan.they know about fatf and economy problem.pakistan is in deep trouble but making fun of pm and calling him niazi and puppet, it's just not cool.

I agree that people should be sensitive but what Imaran himself was doing against Nawaz when he was not PM? He is a puppet and military and ISI leaders have gone with him to guide and control him.

6 policemen martyred in gun, bomb attack in DI Khan

Nine people, including three civilians and six policemen, died in two back-to-back attacks in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday.

According to Dl Khan District Police Officer (DPO) Salim Riaz, unidentified gunmen on four motorcycles opened fire on policemen at the Kotla Saidan checkpost in a residential area at approximately 7:45am on Sunday morning, martyring two policemen.

Following the gun attack, a suicide blast took place at the hospital where the victims were shifted, the DPO said. The bomber struck at the entrance to the hospital, martyring four policemen and three civilians who were visiting their relatives.

Inayatullah, a local forensics expert, said the attacker was female and set off 7 kilograms of explosives packed with nails and ball-bearings. However, police have yet to confirm or deny details about the bomber as the investigation is still in its early stages.

About 30 others were injured in the two incidents, DPO Riaz said.

The blast damaged the emergency room, forcing it to be shut down, according to a hospital official, who said the wounded were then shifted to a military hospital. The official spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal.

The DPO added that according to an initial probe, the attack appeared premeditated.

The TTP claimed the attack but did not acknowledge that the bomber was a woman. According to a statement from TTP spokesperson Muhammad Khorasani, the attack was carried out in retaliation for the killing of a suspected terrorist by the Counter-Terrorism Department in DI Khan on June 23.

The TTP has launched scores of attacks going back nearly two decades, but almost all of them were carried out by men.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan strongly condemned the incident and said that they shared the grief of the victims' families.

He said that such terrorist attacks would not dampen their resolve.

"Terrorists do not have any religion," CM Khan said, adding that no religion allows attacks on innocent individuals.

According to APP, Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is on an official trip to the United States, "strongly condemned the terrorist attack and expressed his deep grief and sorrow over loss of lives in the incident".

He also directed for provision of best medical treatment to the injured.

KP Health Minister Hisham Inamullah Khan also condemned the incident and said that orders had been given to provide the injured with the best treatment. Emergency was declared in all nearby hospitals.

He said that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and very soon terrorism would be defeated.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif also issued a condemnation and extended condolences to the families of the victims.

"We are proud of our police officers who embraced martyrdom to protect the public," he said.

The military has carried out several major operations in recent years against the TTP and other militant groups in areas along the Pak-Afghan border. The violence has declined, but the militants still make their presence known through occasional attacks, mainly targeting security forces and religious minorities.

It seems PTI has its own propaganda department like DG-ISPR but they forgot that screwup only in Pakiland can be covered.

And who will give grand welcome to IK when their embassy is fighting tooth and nail in UK to save D company's lieutenant from FBI?

I am sure Pakistan will ask for longer range AMRAAMs from Pentagon.

Yeah, right. The US has nothing to gain from Pak any more. The taliban talks (IF they happen would be an eyewash, much like the hafiz Saeed arrest) and the US knows it. It depends on how IK presents his case...period. The POTUS has been known to be transactional, but I think in this particular case, he has been very, very well.advised

Pakistan will have zero leeway in this meet for weapon aid, or finance. Nor will they get any IMF relief, unless IRREVOCABLE MEASURES are seen w.r.t global terrorists living comfortably in bakistan.

Ye lo, and if this is how a head of state sits in public transport, that too in a country he us visiting on so called *Official* business...There's not much to say!!
