Why there is no thread on Pakistani atrocities on Pashtuns? Today they broke all records and fired upon the elected representatives. This is biggest opening for India after Bengali massacre by Pakistani Army. Please someone open a thread with relevant tweets or article of today's events...

Maamu, going by your theory of how the Kashmiris are agitating for independence because they're marginalized / oppressed, etc etc , let me draw an attention to the plight of Hindus & Christians in Karachi & draw the same analogy . If it's your contention that what the article describes isn't the same as what's happening in J&K, let me caution you that I've plenty of material from kidnappings, forced conversion & marriages of principaly Hindus but also Christians & Sikhs in predominantly Sind but also in Punjab, discrimination in distribution of food aid during the lockdown in Paxtan by completely excluding non Muslims asking them to convert if they desire aid, rapes & killings of non Muslims, false charges of blasphemy, etc.

All this in addition to the freedom struggle in Balochistan, KPK/FATA & the soon to be revived Sindhudesh movement apart from the Northern Areas & possibly the Seraikis too.

The person killed was a journalist & the cousin of Ali Wazir, an independent Member of the National Assembly ( MNA) from FATA- KPK. Incidentally both cousins have been targets of assassinations for a long time. The MNA Ali Wazir has had his father, brother, uncles, cousins, etc - a total of more than 16 members of his family assassinated by the Taliban. Of course, the latter is mostly a front of the PA.

One must confess the Punjabi Musalmaan dominated PA has certainly taken a leaf out of Maharaja Ranjit Singh's playbook in dealing with these turbulent people , however much they may try to deny it. The only difference is MRS's governors - initially for a brief period were Pashtuns( more vassals than governors ) followed by Sikhs like Nalwa & later by Avitable - an Italian adventurer known to hang people for the slightest offense. This brutal reign certainly helped keep the peace.

The PA, of course, has gone one step further. Apart from utilizing the PA to conduct so called counter terror operations, they employ the Afghan Taliban to use murder, intimidation, kidnapping, destruction of property, etc to keep recalcitrants under check. Set a Pashtun to take care of a Pashtun. This policy of sowing discord among the Pashtuns & dividing them OTOH to maintain peace in KPK / FATA & OTOH use Islam as the glue to bind mutually antagonistic tribes in Afghanistan to keep the insurgency there alive has paid the PA & the state of Pakistan rich dividends indeed. It's helped them keep their territorial integrity intact for the past 73 years & achieve some amount of strategic depth in Afghanistan too .

How long will this policy of diminishing returns continue is anyone's guess? But , as they say in a game of cards, they've made the most out of a bad hand.

PA has virtually decimated civilian opposition in baluchistan & other places. Some time back there was bombing against lawyers and when injured were taken to hospital there was another bombing there. Good going PA at this rate there will be no opposition, they will be fighting among themselves.

MacDonald for the District of Minnesota today announced a federal criminal complaint against Muhammad Masood, 28, charging him with attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. Masood, who was arrested earlier today at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, made his initial appearance before Magistrate Judge David T. Schultz in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Masood was ordered to remain in custody pending a formal detention hearing, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
According to the allegations in the complaint, Masood, a licensed medical doctor in Pakistan, was formerly employed as a Research Coordinator for a medical clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, under an H-1B Visa. Between January 2020 and March 2020, Masood made several statements to others, including pledging his allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) and its leader, and expressing his desire to travel to Syria to fight for ISIS. Masood also expressed his desire to conduct “lone wolf” terrorist attacks in the United States. On Feb. 21, 2020, Masood purchased a plane ticket from Chicago, Illinois to Amman, Jordan, and from there planned to travel to Syria. On March 16, 2020, Masood’s travel plans changed because Jordan closed its borders to incoming travel due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Masood made a new plan to fly from Minneapolis to Los Angeles to meet up with an individual who he believed would assist him with travel via cargo ship to deliver him to ISIS territory.
On March 19, 2020, Masood traveled from Rochester to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to board a flight bound for Los Angeles, California. Upon arrival at MSP, Masood checked in for his flight and was subsequently arrested by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.
This case is the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.
The charges contained in the complaint are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Andrew R. Winter and Timothy C. Rank, with assistance from Trial Attorney Katie Sweeten of the National Security Division’s Counterterrorism Section.
