Islamic Republic of Pakistan : News, Discussions & Updates

But their violent mentality and resultant actions give bad name and problems to all of us. All of suicide bombers in any terror incident in Pakistan were pushtoons, not punjabi or sindhi

The simple fact is that YOU people have been Deliberately Supporting the Taliban

in Afghanistan for one specific reason

You dont want Afghanistan to become peaceful and hence Prosperous and STRONG

An Afghanistan Busy in civil war will not become a threat to you

But the Problem is that USA is interested in Being Present in AFghanistan for a very long time

That has ruined your ambitions

Also India's help has made India A friend for the AFghans as compared to Pakistan which is
only supporting the terrorists there

Afghans hate you ; you know that

Hazara man shot dead, another injured in Quetta attack

In a suspected targeted killing incident, one member of the Shia Hazara community was killed and another was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in Quetta's Kandahari Bazaar area on Sunday.

Police sources said a man riding the vehicle died on the spot due to the miscreants' firing, while a second sustained bullet wounds.

Sectarian terrorism in Balochistan has disproportionately targeted people from the Hazara community as they are easily identifiable because of their distinctive physical appearance.

A report released by the National Commission for Human Rights last month stated that 509 members of Hazara community were killed and 627 injured in various incidents of terrorism in Quetta during the last five years.

Dubai official humiliates Pakistani community; asks UAE citizens to not employ them

Doha: A senior Dubai police official has launched a vitriolic attack on Pakistani citizens through his official Twitter handle.

Head of General Security for Dubai, Dhahi Khalfan, is not new to making controversial comments and is known for shooting off his mouth by making irresponsible statements.

Immediately after the blockade on Qatar started in June, Khalfan had admitted that they had set off the crisis with Qatar to withdraw the 2022 world cup from Qatar.

This time he has trained his guns on Pakistani citizens with his poisonous tweets and generalizing a whole community for the mistakes of few.

The statements were posted on his official Twitter account after the Dubai authorities arrested a gang of Pakistanis for smuggling drugs.

"The Pakistanis pose a serious threat to the Gulf communities because they bring drugs to our countries," he posted.

Khalfan posted many demeaning and humiliating messages against the Pakistanis, one of the biggest expatriate communities in the Gulf region with many of them holding senior posts in many corporations and also running leading business houses.

Khalfan even went to the extent of advising UAE nationals to not employ Pakistanis, who have deep historic relation with the region through cultural and religious ties.

He continued to post statements filled with malice and bitter criticism of Pakistanis.

"We have seen the Pakistanis do great harm to our Gulf communities,” and also ask “Why Indians are disciplined? While sedition, criminality and smuggling in the Pakistani community are rampant.”

This sharp attack by Khalfan of the Pakistanis was preceded by a lot of news indicating a rupture in Saudi-UAE relations with Pakistan. The US Wall Street Journal revealed that Saudi Arabia had abandoned Pakistan's

support and succumbed to US pressure and voted to include Islamabad on a terrorism financing list, despite Islamabad sending 1,000 troops to the Kingdom to protect the country, as revealed by the British website “Middle East Eye".

Pakistan A Threat For Gulf Countries: Dhahi Khalfan. Suggests Imposing Ban On Pakistan Like Bangladesh, Pakistani Community Gives Strong Reaction Faizan Hashmi 2 hours ago Mon 02nd April 2018 | 03:12 PM Pakistan a threat for Gulf countries: Dhahi Khalfan. Suggests imposing ban on Pakistan like Bangladesh, Pakistani community gives strong reaction Head of General Security in Dubai Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan in his racist tweets has said that Pakistanis are a threat for the gulf countries Dubai (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2018 )Head of General Security in Dubai Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan in his racist tweets has said that Pakistanis are a threat for the gulf countries. The tweets came in reaction to the recent arrest of a Pakistani gang by the authorities in Dubai. Khalfan is his April 1 tweet shared a photo of three Pakistani nationals from whom the drugs were seized with a caption that read, “Pakistanis pose a dangerous threat to gulf societies as a result of the drugs they bring in to our countries. We must impose strict procedures at the entrances [of our countries].” “We became strict with the Bengalis because of the criminal tendencies they have shown. Pakistanis must be placed under an increased level of inspection,” he said in another series of tweets. “I invite our citizens to not employ Pakistanis” “It is now a national duty to stop hiring Pakistanis” “How come Indians are disciplined while disruption, crime, and smuggling are prevalent in the Pakistani community?” “We became strict with the Bengalis because of the criminal tendencies they have shown. Pakistanis must be placed under an increased level of inspection” This trend of a censure against other countries is quite apparent in Khalfan’s tweet as he did with Qatar and Turkey. Now attacking Pakistan in his tweets, it seems that the Dubai official is offended by Saudi Arabia’s support to Pakistan against its inclusion in the Terror Financing List. It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan’s comparison with Bangladesh in these tweets should worry Pakistan about sanctions to work and travel to United Arab Emirates (UAE) as work visas are banned for the Bengalis. Similar restrictions could be imposed on Pakistan if the situation worsens. This has caused a serious reaction from the Pakistani side who are disappointed with his infuriated statements and considers UAE a friendly country.

Hafeez Saeed's Politicial party put on Terror list by USA

Announcing the decision, the State and the Treasury Departments of the US said on Monday that the MML has been added under LeT's designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) under two different laws.

Another LeT front, Tehreek-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir (TAJK), was also added to the US list of terror groups, it said.

MML has been actively campaigning with posters of LeT co-founder and Jamat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed, who is a US-designated Global Terrorist.

The Treasury Department also said that MML president Saifullah Khalid, General Secretary Fayyaz Ahmad and five others have also been put under the scanner.

"LeT continues to operate freely within Pakistan, holding public rallies, raising funds, and plotting and training for terrorist attacks," a statement from the State Department said.

"Make no mistake: whatever LeT chooses to call itself, it remains a violent terrorist group," the Department's Counter-terrorism Coordinator Nathan A Sales told reporters in Washington.

Number of labourers going to Saudi Arabia drops

ISLAMABAD: The number of Pakistani labourers recruited by SaudiArabian employers dropped by 11 per cent to 460,000 in 2016 despite the fact that the kingdom has remained the busiest corridor for Pakistani migrants higher than in any year since 2005.

Nonetheless, in 2017, Bangladesh appears to have replaced Pakistan as the main source of labour force to Saudi Arabia, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) says in a new report, ‘Labour Migration in Asia’.

This downward trend is likely to continue since partial figures up to October 2017 indicate only 450,000 departures for overseas employment from Pakistan. The increase in Bangladeshi workers going to Saudi Arabia can be attributed to the end of a six-year ban on recruitment, which was lifted in mid-2016.

UN's terror list has many as 139 Pakistanis

NEW DELHI: The United Nations Security Council's (UNSC) updated list of people it has designated 'terrorists' features as many as 139 Pakistanis, many from the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), reported Dawn newspaper.

These 139 are identified as individuals who have lived in Pakistan or have operated from the country or have been associated with groups that used Pakistani territory for their operations.

Included in the list are fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and, of course, 26/11 Mumbai terror mastermind Hafiz Saeed + . The UN Dawood has held several Pakistani passports issued in Rawalpindi and Karachi. It also said that he owns a “palatial bungalow in the hilly area of Noorabad, Karachi”, reported dawn

Saeed, also a founder of LeT, is joined on the list by Haji Mohammed Yahya Mujahid, LeT's 'media contact', and two people known as his deputies, Abdul Salaam and Zafar Iqbal. All three are also wanted by Interpol.

The UNSC has listed LeT as well as its various affiliates, including al-Mansoorian, Paasban-i-Kashmir, Paasban-i-Ahle Hadith, Jamaat-ud Dawa and Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation. In fact, just yesterday the US put another Saeed organisation, his political arty Milli Muslim League, on its list of designated terror outfits.

Meanwhile, on top of the UN's terrorists list is al Qaida's Ayman al-Zawahiri, who was 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden's number two man. The UN said al-Zawahiri is still hiding somewhere "in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border area", reported Dawn.

Pakistanis pose a threat to Gulf communities, says Dubai security chief

A top Emirati security official, known for making controversy-catching remarks on wide-ranging issues, took to Twitter to denounce Pakistanis, accusing them of being a "dangerous threat to Gulf societies".

In his recent diatribe on April 1, Lt Gen Dhahi Khalfan, who is the head of general security of Dubai, wrote in Arabic: "The Pakistanis pose a serious threat to the Gulf communities for the drugs they bring with them to our countries."

يشكل الباكستانيون تهديدا خطيرا للمجتمعات الخليجية لما يجلبوه من مخدرات معهم إلى دولنا..يجب التشديد عليهم بإجراءات صارمة في المنافذ...

The tweet, followed by a series of similar attacks targeting Pakistanis, came in the backdrop of a drug racket being busted in Dubai. The tweet was also carrying a photo apparently showing three Pakistani smugglers, along with the drugs allegedly recovered from them.

No government data is readily available to show that Pakistani citizens have been involved in certain crimes in UAE more than immigrants belonging to other countries.

Khalfan resorted to generalising, however, asking his fellow citizens "not to employ Pakistanis". The security official, who was the head of Dubai Police Force until 2013, termed it a "national duty to stop hiring Pakistanis”.

دعوة إلى المواطنين بعدم تشغيل الباكستانيين.

إيقاف استقدام العمالة الباكستانية أصبح ضرورة وطنية

In continuation of his diatribe, the official went on to make sweeping comparisons between Pakistanis and their arch rival Indians.

“Why are the Indians disciplined while disruption, crime, and smuggling are prevalent in the Pakistani community?” he wrote, according to uaeviral.com.

لماذا الهنود منضبطون؟ في حين أن التسيب والإجرام والتهريب في الجالية الباكستانية متفشي

Dragging people from Bangladesh into the verbal assault, Khalfan suggested that Pakistanis should be subjected to increased inspection, similar to what Bangladeshis had to face "because of the criminal tendencies".

شددنا على البنغاليين لما شكلوا ظواهر إجرامية..الباكستانيون يجب أن يتم اخضاعهم لتفتيش غير عادي.

“We became strict with the Bengalis because of the criminal tendencies they have shown. Pakistanis must be placed under an increased level of inspection.”

More foreign loans only way to sustain reserves: Pak MOS for Finance

The government plans to take commercial loans and in addition it has sent requests to friendly countries to place more deposits in the State Bank of Pakistan, according to sources in the Ministry of Finance. Friendly countries have already placed $1.7 billion as deposits with the central bank under currency swap arrangements, which are part of the $11.8 billion gross official reserves.

In its latest report, the IMF said that Pakistan’s net official foreign currency reserves were negative $724 million as of mid-February. It has estimated Pakistan’s gross financing requirements at $24.5 billion for this fiscal year.

Rana Afzal defended high debt levels and said that the government did not have an option but to borrow to run its affairs. He said that high spending on security was also the reason behind the growing debt burden.

Proof that in Pakistan,Army is above all

ISLAMABAD: The top court upheld on Tuesday a Lahore High Court (LHC) decision outlining that there could not be court martial of a military official over non-disclosure of financial assets.

According to the facts of the case, Gill was an army officer, who was tried by field general court martial (FGCM) on three charges relating to the money matters and fourth charge was relating to the improperly filing of his tax return for the year 1996.97 by declaring his salary as a sole source of income, knowing well that he had income from other sources as well.

He was found guilty in four charges on August 13, 1999. However the competent authority did not confirm the finding on three charges and sent the matter to the army chief, who maintained the order of his dismissal.

UN terror list has 139 Pakistan entries

WASHINGTON: The United Nations Security Council’s consolidated list of terrorist individuals and entities includes 139 entries from Pakistan.

The list — updated and accessed on Tuesday — identifies all those individuals who have lived in Pakistan, operated from there or have been associated with groups that used Pakistani territory for carrying out their operations, from Al Qaeda’s Ayman al-Zawahiri to known Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) activists.

The list also includes Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, an Indian national who, according to the UN Security Council, has held several Pakistani passports issued in Rawalpindi and Karachi. The UN claims that he owns a “palatial bungalow in the hilly area of Noorabad, Karachi”.

The bench; however, observed that the military court has no jurisdiction to remove any official on the basis of non-disclosure of assets.
