This is that town where doosra banda was hammered deliberately after which the locals complained that doosra banda looked like a gangu & not tall handsome , light eyed Aryan that all Paxtanis are without exception. Now his party TLPis about to form an alliance with ruling party PTI of IKN in Punjab to defeat PMLN of Nawaz.
PS : TLP is the same religious party which was founded by ex militants during amnesty scheme of Pak Fauz and even rewarded handsomely for a violent protest against Nawaz Shariff Govt in 2019.

The news is very real BUT its from 2014. Indian media is somehow publishing old news for sensationalism. Typical.
There was another casualty so to speak of. Jogendranath Mondal. It's because of him that a large number of Hindus particularly SC Hindus like Matuas stayed back in BD. He went on to be the Labour Minister in Pakistan too.He returned a few years later to Calcutta deeply disillusioned with the Pakistan experiment & died in obscurity.
His legacy however proved to be more problematic as thanks to him a large number of Hindus are still in BD gradually making their way to India. The CAA is in great part thanks to him his work & his legacy too.
