Israel-Hamas Conflict: Updates & Discussions

Despite being widely reported as British-owned, it turns out that the only UK link to Rubymar was its insurance, which is now being disputed by the owners, who have been told that war risk was not part of the fixed-premium deal they signed up to.
Responsibility for the clean-up of oil spills would normally fall to the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds. However Rubymar is a bulk carrier not an oil tanker and therefore IOPC Funds do not apply.
The International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage could apply. However, the treaty states: “No liability for pollution damage shall attach to the shipowner if the shipowner proves that: (a) the damage resulted from an act of war, hostilities, civil war, insurrection or a natural phenomenon of an exceptional, inevitable and irresistible character.”

Footage of activation of the Trophy active protection complex on the Israeli Merkava IV tank. The tank was fired upon by a Hezbollah unit using the Iranian Almas ATGM; technical information about it is in the link to the video in the comments to the video. The video was filmed in the vicinity of Chabad Yarin in northern Israel. When the ATGM approached the tank, the Trophy defense system was activated at the last moment; the system dropped the protective shields from the Trophy launcher, but did not have time to fire the ammunition. It is unclear from the view whether the tank was hit or not.

Israel has conveyed its mild displeasure about the drone strike to the Houthis.

Do you think the Houthis have gotten the message, or was it perhaps too subtle?
They dont care if you bomb & kill 1000 ppl, what makes you think setting oil depot ablaze will change any thing ?
They can get oil from iran any way so it wont make much difference. Yemen hardly has any economy worth worrying abt, like afghanistan you bomb them to stone age it will change nothing.

Problem with west's tactics is that they are fighting an enemy which is not a fully fledged cntry which worries abt consequences on economy or ppl. They are just monkeys, you kill one, another one will occupy its place. All the threats & attacks have hardly reduced the threat , they are just delaying the inevitable.

Even monkeys respond to stimuli. The problem is that the west has only attacked assets the Houthis are using to attack, and not the decision makers themselves. Hit their government headquarters mid-session, don't provide them any peace.
