Whether it's a war crime depends on context and purpose. In this case it's aimed at preventing Iranian war production. Meanwhile, Iran has been releasing cluster munitions at high altitude over cities, which is a war crime in any context, and attacking civilian tankers that don't even belong to the US, murdering 36,500 civilians, and Russia hits power plants in the middile of winter, which is aimed at more than just war production and kidnapped thousands of children, so do one biased Billy. The other big difference, is that Europe will likely send Iranian civilians aid afterwards, whereas Russia just shrugs its shoulders.
Iran is definitely not a democracy in any context.

Sharif also offered an optimistic assessment of the status of negotions, saying diplomatic efforts were “progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in near future.”
