The issue here is that these states were never a part of mainstream India like Kashmir. Kashmir is the part of Bharatvarsh since the availability of history. It is the only state which carries the same name since the time of Mahabharat. History of Kashmir is a shining Chester of Indian history. So comparing kashmir with north east is utterly foolish.
 
This was brilliantly done & I was very surprised when Modi/Shah delivered "more" than what they promised on J&K.

Not only did they abolish 370 but they also effectively neutered the local leadership for foreseeable future.

What this means?
Well, except for few, most people look for ways to earn good money. Kashmiri politicians and separatists are no exception. Now with all of Indian laws being applicable and with security apparatus being controlled by Center, it becomes a lot more difficult to earn "easy money".
Get outsiders into valley, easier said than done BUT Modi/shah just did the impossible and settling outsiders may not be as tough.
And let's not start on the psychological trauma that the Kashmiriyat people are now experiencing. This was a mighty kick in the nuts of everyone's psyche, will potentially have long term implications of the confidence of India in dealing with these people from position of strength.

From politics side of it, it is very apparent Shah is the successor to Modi.
the last few weeks, Modi has let Shah have his way on everything and has credited him with the achievements, You can clearly see Modi taking a backseat from the political slugfest.
Shah is the defacto no2...naa..he is defacto 1a.

Gafoora is a cheap guy occupying high position. This is very common in Pakistan. Brainwashed Radical Islamist love cheap people. Do you remember the words used by Pakistani foreign minister for Sushma Swaraj? So Cheap people have risen to highest position and they are doing something to Pakistan which even enemies can not do. It's aregressing country and it was born to be a failed state. Let's enjoy its gradual erosion. Hungry Pakistanis will become more radical.

I disagree. History of North East is as much as a part of India as any other placer in the country. The reason why we want to remove special provisions to Kashmir is because even with all the autonomy, radicals still want *censored* with India, whereas most of the north Eastern peoples are patriotic peoples and most of the peoples don't mid having any special privileges for any NE states.

If Most of the valley were patriotic peoples and peace existed, we would have never removed any special status just like NE.
