This is what is called punching well above the weight. In NDA and IMA, boxing is mandatory for would be officers. Yours truly has the fastest knockout record in NDA unbroken by anyone for last 35 years. Welter weight category.Sikkim Clash: ‘Small’ Indian Lt Who Punched a ‘Big’ Chinese Major

When a young Indian Army lieutenant, Birol Das, punched a Chinese PLA major on his nose, at Muguthang, and sent blood oozing from his nose, he nearly provoked an escalation that his officers had not bargained for.
Das’ infantry unit had stopped the intruding Chinese PLA at Muguthang last week, and were furious at the Chinese commissar for shouting, "This (Sikkim) is not your land, this is not Indian territory... so just go back."
Brought up in a military family – his grandfather a veteran of the Royal and then Indian Air Force and his father a colonel in the Indian Army – Das could not stomach it anymore.

“What Sikkim not our territory? What the hell!” he shouted back. Then, as one PLA major moved menacingly towards his senior officer, a captain, Das flew into him and punched him in the face.
Das Patted For Bravery, Yet Admonished For ‘Provoking a Bigger Spat’
The Chinese major collapsed with a thud and his name tag came loose – a good souvenir to carry back – but Das left it alone, as his colleagues pulled him back.
After being admonished for a while by senior officers, for provoking a bigger spat, and being congratulated by officers from command and divisional headquarters at Kolkata and Sukna, Das was preparing for a commendation. But, the senior commanders could not land at Muguthang because of bad weather.
Even Army Chief Gen MM Naravane is said to have expressed his desire to ‘have a look at the boy.’
Meanwhile, Das is unrepentant, but somewhat crestfallen because he has been pulled back to a location away from the front. His only comfort that his troops are loving his act of 'teaching the Chinese the right lesson.'
A senior officer said, “Birol is a hero for his troops – slight build but extremely pugnacious.”

It may be so.. but that would not alter China's calculation, as India is a threat and a possible peer competitor in 2050 and beyond, whereas Pakistan is more or less a dependable pawn..China will gain much more than what it has invested in Pakistan if India takes over POK and GB.
Well.. 7 Chinese soldiers were beaten up in Sikkim when they came into Indian territory for patrol this week... how does that make it successful?Chinese successfully patrolled inside indian regions which they call disputed. Why double standards?
China violated lac today.Looks like Pak and China have plans ready for India. After all India wants two front war. Indian media discussed two front war more than enemy discussed it. Surprisingly indian jets scrambled today. I can smell hostility!
Looks like something else also happened during fight. It looks like that some Chinese soldiers are seriously injured so that's why choppers near lac. Your fighter jet activity shows possible Chinese fighter jet activities in Tibet. It looks serious.Well.. 7 Chinese soldiers were beaten up in Sikkim when they came into Indian territory for patrol this week... how does that make it successful?
Stakes are high this time. They will help this time.Nothing much to read into the Chinese activity. When we have a Home Minister making statements on foreign policy when he should be making statements on dealing with the nonsense which was played out on streets of Delhi and should be proactively working to solve the issue of hundreds and thousands of labourers on the road in the country, we get this situation. You irk China, they return the favor.
If you think they will even lift a finger to help you, you are actually in a very untenable position. They won't.
What is the point?
