At the risk of stating the obvious, China does plan to invade Taiwan.
The overall text makes it sound like the invasion is planned for May-June. July onwards is Typhoon season. The clue is here:
The task given by the war zone is to complete the retrofitting of 365 ro-ro ships, etc., all kinds of ships, within 45 days. In addition, we are responsible for 64 national resource ships in our jurisdiction and other 8 ships.
There are 90 enterprises in our province that have the ability to retrofit ships. They can retrofit 113 ships altogether at the same time. 280 can be done this month!
45 days? A month? Hence May-June.
This leak could derail their invasion plans.
But it makes sense that Xi wants it done this year and become the next Mao.

The Americans are unlikely to allow that to happen.
Also, Taiwanese leadership understands what will happen to them if China gets their hands on them. This includes their military.
Basically, it's the same thinking that led to Russia invading Ukraine, that they will surrender.
Even the brainless ppl by now would have already realized that US will do nothing. China will let taiwanese leadership exit for a peaceful take over( like afghanistan) which is their main goal and the taiwanese will exile to US and start usual barking.
Taiwan is not like Ukraine. Being a big country, even if Russia takes over, Ukraine can suffer through an insurgency supported by NATO, but that's not the case with Taiwan. If China takes over Taiwan, it's over.
And Taiwan is really very important due to its strategic location. Taiwan can give the Chinese unlimited access to the Pacific Ocean. Right now they are boxed in. And the US will get dragged into a war defending Japan anyway. It's easier for the US to fight China over Taiwan than over Japanese islands. As long as China is belligerent, the US has no choice but to challenge China.
Lastly, Taiwan will resist. US involvement will give them a massive advantage, but they plan to fight China regardless. The Chinese cannot let Taiwanese leaders leave because then the problem will never end. It will become a problem worse than the Dalai Lama. Taiwanese refugees will simply create a new govt elsewhere and China will become a usurper. The Chinese people won't take kindly to that. And the whole world will be against China during this time, so the isolation will create whole new problems.

The reason US left Afghanistan and Putin thought US wouldn't care about Ukraine was entirely because of Taiwan.
I just hope things don't escalate for a few more years. At least now there's the impression that the Chinese have gone back to the drawing board over Taiwan. But that also means they can cause trouble in Ladakh this year.

Honestly, it is good for us if they move on Taiwan. But, the Chinese are smart. They will not move till the time there is some kind of lull in the Japan and India areas.
If they want to go after Taiwan, they will want peace in the Ladakh area. Let us assume, they are able to take terrirtory this time around, its a mess waiting to happen. Because, you can bet we will attack if they go after Taiwan.
Ladakh will be as is for now. From our end, we should boost capabilities and wait for them to go at Taiwan. Bide our time, while sharpening our claws.
It's all for show, but I think it means this year is chill.
Next year? No idea. Kamil theorizes Central Asia and Mongolia as a target.
